Just got off the phone with Disney Dining. Was trying to make the long awaited CP reservations. After calling right at 6 a.m. CST and being on hold for 15 minutes, a young man answered and asked how he could help me. I said I would like to make CP reservations. His answer was "I'm sorry, we are not taking them today, you can try back tomorrow." I told him I realize he doesn't make the rules, but I am disappointed that Disney changed the date for making the reservations. This is what he said.
"Oh, I'm sorry, did Disney officially announce on our WEBSITE you could make your reservations today? I don't think so, but here, let me check it for you." (insert sarcastic tone)
I explained the information I had was from various CM's at DD. He went on to explain they (the CM's) just walked into "this" 15 minutes ago, any information I was given by any CM was their effort to help in the best way they could and was there anything else he could help me with. I said he could help me by letting me know when I would be able to make my reservations instead of "TRY back tomorrow". He said that was the best he could do.
I did tell him, at the end of our "conversation" that he sounded a bit testy, especially when his day had only started 15 minutes ago. The lack of CP reservations being taken was going to make his day a long one, there would be many people upset, but his attitude and sarcastic tone was not going to help the matter.
I'm glad I don't work for DD today! If by 6:15 a.m. (7:15 their time) the CM's sound at the end of their rope, can you imagine what they will sound like by noon?

Good thing I didn't get that CM when I called!
