Warning...ADR's were no where to be found

I made an ADR last week for our July trip and when I called the first time they were having computer problems. Told me to call back. So I waited and then called back about 25mins later. No problems then. Made the ADR for 7/3. Received confirm # and was set.

Yesterday we decided to make another ADR for 7/2. Called had no problems and received confirm #. For some reason...call it "mother's intuition" or whatever, but decided to ask about our ADR for 7/3, gave the confirm # and nothing came up. Then gave last name nothing came up. At this point I was not very happy. :sad1: The 7/3 ADR was for my one DD's Birthday! We went ahead and were able to make a new ADR for around the same time. I think we really lucked out. Then we talked with dining help and they could not find anything. It seems like our reservation just vanished. Very, very strange considering we had a confirm #.

Happily we are set with our ADR's :woohoo:, but I guess sometimes it does not hurt to double check things. It would not have been a good scene if we showed up for dinner for her birthday and there was no reservation. Considering she was the one who picked the restaurant!!

I guess moral of the story always check and recheck. Can never be too sure!!:)
 
Glad to hear everything ended up working out for you. I can't imagine how frustrating it would have been to show up with cf# in hand and have the CM tell you that the ressie could not be found.

SO, if you had a number, but it wasn't in the system, what would happen when you showed up?:confused3
 

kinda the same thing happend to me yesterday.

A couple of weeks ago my computer crashed never to return to working order, well I finally got a new one, but had to call for all my conformation numbers since everything was lost in my old laptop. Well I called yesterday, and was told there was NOTHING for me!! The CM I talked to was really nice, but couldn't find anything under my name or phone number. I remembered that when I made them the CM looked up my room reservation number then made all my ADR's for me, so she looked them up by they reservation number and was able to find them.


Luckily everything was there and I was able to get all my conformation numbers again. SO I guess I'm just saying, well I really don't know what I'm saying other than I feel your pain.
 
When I made mine the first time I forgot to have them note my Mom's a Celiac. When I called back they couldn't find the ressies under my name, phone number, or resort reservation number. The CM got his supervisor, and the supervisor couldn't find them under any of those three either. They did find them under my individual confirmation numbers, so they were in the system, but it was a pain and I was panicing for a few minutes because I knew that I wouldn't still be able to get the Fantasmic package or Le Cellier by that time.

The CM pretty much told me that if I would have showed up and there was nothing in the system I would not have gotten seated. Let me tell you, I would have fought that one when I was there in person.

Unfortunately, our room reservation was not in the system yet. We used the rest of our developer points and it takes a while for those reservations to get in the system. Don't get that though. :confused3 And since it was already within the 90 day period, I wanted to make our ADR's. So they had absolutely nothing else to go off of.

That is great that they were able to find it!! :)
 
After reading your post, I decided to triple check my ADR's for our upcoming trip and lo and behold our Boma reservation was cancelled! Apparently, I cancelled it somehow (do not ask me how in the world this happened, as this was one of the restaurants we were really looking forward to!). Anyway, they did not have any ADR's left for the day we were going to go, so I had to switch to Jiko (which I am really o.k. with except for the $$). Now I have the dilemma of how to pay for Jiko, as it is 2 TS and I know we will need to order off the kids menu for all the kids. Does anyone know if you can split your meal (like have the adults use the TS credits but pay cash for the kids????????) This is our first time doing DDP.

I think they had some kind of a computer malfunction. When I called to make the rest of my ADR's last week, I asked about the first one I made and they could not find it. Finally after 10 minutes on hold they found it. But it was my name with someone elses telephone number and email. Kind of bizarre. The CM switch everything back to my info and just said sometimes that happens.
 
Okay... so now I am nervous... If I call to check everything now, and our trip isn't until July, should I call back once a month to make sure it's all still okay?

If it's not in the system, the restaurant can't confirm that you have ADRs. Anyone could make up some numbers, show up at the restaurant and say they have ressies.
 
I just called to check mine for next week. Everything was there, however somehow I had two extra reservations which I didn't make. They had me eating at Les Chefs de France three days in a row. The first one I wouldn't even be in Florida yet, during the second hopefully I'll be checking into the resort.

So if anyone needs a lunch reservations for 5 at Chefs de France on Sat 4/25 or Sun 4/26 I just cancelled those. I'll be ready to eat there Monday on our first full day - one week from today :woohoo:

Well after my experience I will be calling often and our trip isn't until July too. You can never be too sure! And then when I am able to book ADR's for our October trip, I will be checking on those too.
 
what a nightmare. I would assume this would also make some restaurants appear booked when indeed they are the wrong reservations. When they don't show up in the system people are going to rebook. They are creating a lot of double bookings by loosing peoples info.
