Warning about LTD Commodities

I have been fighting with them for a while now. I paid with a check online. I have a receipt from their site saying I paid.

They claim I never paid and now put penalties to raise the amount. They said the my bank account does not exist.

My bank claims they never even tried to cash the check.

We verified all info with them. We even faxed them a copy of check.

They won't show us any proof on their side.

I will never be shopping with them again.

UGH! I dealt with them years ago and it was a mess. They sent the items I ordered. I had to send half back as it was junk. They fixed the bill and I paid the bill. Then, they tried to say I didn't pay all of it. We went back and forth for a long time. I made it clear I would not pay for items that I returned and they had gotten the correct amount from me. I didn't hear from them for a long time and had guessed that it had been settled. Months later, I got another bill

I've been dealing with them for years - since at least 2000 - and have never had one bit of trouble with them regarding payments or have ordered anything that I wasn't satisfied with..

Actually I'm waiting for another order right now..

Consider yourself lucky! There are many many complaints against them.

I'm glad I opened this thread! I just got a catalog from them and planned on ordering a couple of things. I think I'll just skip it.

Well you say you paid with a check on-line. Did the funds leave your bank account? Because if the funds didn't leave your account, then you really didn't pay for them because the company didn't get the money.

Just because a receipt on their site says "Paid" doesn't mean you're off the hook...only if you can prove that they took the money out of your account. Absent that, then they may very well be correct in saying you didn't pay.

i ordered from them last month with no issues, but i paid with a credit card, so maybe that makes a difference. i dealt with them for years as ABC distributing, and always paid via check with the bill that came with the items-never had a problem. i hope your issue is resolved quickly, OP.

So... the check never actually went through? Did the money ever come out of the account and get sent to them? If not, then you did not pay. Usually with things I pay for online from my bank account it says that while I do get a "paid" receipt, it isn't finalized until the money actually is removed. I am responsible to make sure that happens.

I'm sorry, but if the bank says the check didn't go through, then the company has every right to come after ya. Unless you can prove the money was actually removed from the account by them, you still need to pay.

I would just pay them for items you recieved. If the check was never cashed then you didn't pay for the items no matter what the reciept says.

What is your beef with them? You didn't pay!!!! no wonder they are coming after you, they have every right.

Sorry I agree with the other posters...if the money didn't come out of your account there was a mix up and you still owe them.
What proof are you expecting them to show you?

I got some items from them and paid for them but thought there was one item I received separately that still needed to be paid for. I went online to pay and it said paid. I called and they said I had paid for it. FF to 4 years later, they just contacted me saying I still owed it! Just like all of a sudden they realized I was right when I tried to pay them??
