Read the black out date info. Only the Disney Incredi-pass as no black out dates. Others now have Thanksgiving black out dates. And the Florida Resident blacks out all holidays and weekends. So read carefully before buying.

I don't see a change for DVC Members. Previous version of GOLD pass also blocked out days around Thanksgiving, Christmas & NYE. Other passes with blocked dates are only available to Florida residents and not DVC Members. But good advice to check for black out dates for any pass you are considering.

So the email I was reading was a little confusing as to the number of passes.

It looks like the Platinum+, Platinum, Gold, and Silver will remain but they have now added the 4 additional passes. Do you read the same thing?

I am so pissed!!!! The cheapest one we'd be forced to do based on how we travel is the Sorcerer Pass. I cannot believe they'd black out every holiday weekend....actually I can believe it. Grrrrrrrrr

The Sorcerer's Pass now blocks out Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun of Thanksgiving and the last 2 weeks of December. No blackout for Easter as in the past. There are actually fewer Blackout Dates than with the "current" Gold AP.

Wednesday through Saturday of Thanksgiving week.
In 2021, 11/24 to 11/27, 12/18 to 12/31

So, what if a DVC member has (makes) a resort reservation during the Thanksgiving and Christmas blackout periods? Would that supercede the blackout periods and enable a DVC member, with a resort reservation, to make a park reservation? Surely, a large percentage of DVC owners travel to WDW during Thanksgiving and Christmas; did Disney not consider that?

You would need to have theme park admission that's valid for those dates in order to make theme park reservations.

This only affects those with this specific pass - but yes, those planning to use the Sorcerer's Pass for park admission would not be allowed to make a Park Reservation.

With the Incredi-Pass, daily or length-of-stay passes, there would be no problem.

Why would they be furloughed if dues were paying for them? Sure they gave us a small credit but is that really where they got it from?

Same thing that happens to a Silver/Gold Passholder currently: They get nothing. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Only until Spetember 7 and in your renewal window. Beginning September 8 you will have to renew into one of the new passes.
