warning - 21st december...

This is clearly a story of 2 sides but worth giving posters a heads-up :thumbsup2

The down side is the long waits and large crowds.

The up side is that with DLP coming of age we can hope for investment for the number 1 tourist attraction in Europe :woohoo:

Do you think that this means they won't be selling tickets on the day? We have annual passes but my parents are travelling with us and don't......:sad1:

diane - it looks like thats what they are saying....

when i saw it i though shud i post it - but its only fair that everyone going is warned, then maybe plans can be made around it a bit more :confused3

maybe - it will have the opposite affect, and loads of pplwill stay away *** they think itll be busy, and it will then be really quiet????

but as reid says - maybe the upside is more investment and expansion - which of course is always welcome....

The way I read it is that all tickets have been sold, sorry Dianne, hope I'm wrong.
Might be a good day for those in the know to plan a day at the Studios, SeaLife or swimming instead. :confused3

Agree though Reid, this is absolutely fantastic news for the park :woohoo:

Yes that is correct no tickets will be sold. You could consider Walt Disney Studios however :)

OK Plan B. If we buy annual passes for them on the Saturday when we get there then I assume we would all get in (provided we are then when it opens of course). What about if we bought undated tickets in advance from a Disney shop? Just trying to think through all of the options.

I would just spend the day at WDS.

It is strongly recommended to those not bearing a ticket or a ticket bearing undated to alter their intended visit to our site to another date

Oh my, our office manager at work is staying at the SL from Thursday until Monday. I think I'll go and get my ebay fastpasses out to take into work tomorrow for her to borrow!!

Can they turn you away with any of the annual passes?
We arrive on Sunday afternoon. Maybe that will explain why the fast passes are very expensive on ebay at the moment.

:scared1: :scared1: Thanks for posting it :thumbsup2 Hmmm, looks like we'll try and spend a few hours in the Steakhouse then ;)

That's what we thought - maybe followed by a tour of all the hotels, having a hot chocolate in each.
Unless you want to invite us all back to your hotel for a party. :rotfl:

Do you think they will reopen in the evening - say 7 o'clock ish ?

Would love to but we'd have already checked out that morning;) Might go see Animagique & Cinemagique again that afternoon lol.

WOW!! I can't say that I'm surprised to be honest.

On the Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th at the DCR they gave us directions to the overflow car park at DLRP!

I'm sure on Saturday I head a figure of 65,000 people being banded about around lunchtime in the park, hence why the 90 minute minimum queue. WDS was much quieter however those with hoppers may choose to visit WDS if the Disneyland Park is closed so that will also get busy too!

I agree with Reid, whilst it is not great for people going it is hopefully a sign of things to come where the investments are paying off.

I reckon all the hotels are at capacity too for them to do this. Its the start of the Christmas holidays across Europe too which has probably caused this too.

Oh this just made my day EVEN better. Not.
OK guys, little all day DIS party at the Steakhouse?!
