I've kept a low profile. Love reading the Disboards. :cheer2:

Roadies myself (eek) almost 51 and husband - a somewhat younger guy of 47.

Leaving Thurs night, driving down to the house of the mouse for 10/17 for 6 days at Disney.... my birthday no less.

First trip on site, staying at Pop Century. Have spent other trips at my brothers' timeshare.

Bonus this year, paid deposit. Then won $5000 grand at the Bingo. Now I sound like an old lady. Went with my Mom and spilt the proceeds with her. Now that felt great. Paid for the rest of the trip, had a pin code for the upgraded free dining. Bought a freezer and have some money to invest. Did I say I like to budget, use coupons and overall cheapie at heart. I love the challenge.

We are switching it up on this trip. My fav park is the Magic Kingdom. We will be at Epcot for my bday as our first park so that we can have our dinner at Chefs de France. All reservations are made.

It will be a nice break. No charges on the credit card. And a much needed break from work. We work with Internet, TV and billing tech support for a service provider for the U.S. Even had to work on Thanksgiving today.

Sorry to be so long winded.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving! Sounds like you are in for a Wonderful trip! Have a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Would LOVE to hear how you liked Chef De France, as we are eating there for the first time ever on the 29th! We too are driving down, and to me thats looking to be like a Vacation in itself!
Warmer weather, definately looking forward to that after the past few days we've had here!

We'll be crossing paths too! We hit the road on the 16th, but we'll take our time getting to WDW, checking in at Pop Century on the 22nd. The long range forecast looks really good - if you like sunny skies and temps in the mid 80's! :goodvibes

Have a great trip!

We are back to reality now. My mind is scattered from work today. Monday does this to me. LOL.

We had a great trip. We took turns driving, leaving Owen Sound about 6:15 on the 15th, we arrived on Friday night. We had tried to see if we could get a room only rate for Pop but no rooms were available. We had to rough it at a regular motel for the night.

We stayed in the 50"s section. Pin Code for free Deluxe Dining Plan.

I dragged my hubby around so he didn't get too much rest.

Chefs de France for my birthday.

Prix Fixe 3 Course Menu
I had Salade au bleu - romaine hearts, blue cheese dressing, bacon, walnuts, croutons.

Hubby had the same courses with the exception of the starter...Bisque de Homard - Lobster bisque. It was very good.

Plat de Cote de Boeuf au Cabarnet avec pates - Beef (OMG) very tender and tasty. I didn't care for the noodles as the side. I would have preferred something a little different.

And Creme Brulee for desert.

My other favorites. It is a tie between Kona Cafe and Boma.

Overall, we had more food than I would usually eat. It was a yummy week. We saved a lot of our snack credits as I was getting too full with all the food.

Weather Report.....It was 87 on Friday. We had a few cooler days earlier in the week.

We got back in the wee hours of Sunday morning. We took our time driving home. Seems that we never have the excitement and energy getting back. I didn't quite have the energy tonight to be a bit more witty or entertaining. I blame work for this too.

I hope everyone enjoys their escape and the Disney Magic!

Glad to hear you had wonderful trip!!
