I'm in GA currently, and we're in a weather funk. It's too cold to wear my light zip ups (I bike around town) but it's too warm to wear my winter jacket. I'm looking for suggestions on a brand of WARM, comfortable, pullover hooded sweatshirts.

Anyone have any good track records? I'm willing to spend money if they'll be warm.

Go to the mall and try some on ..

I would, but I don't have a car, and it's very unsafe to bike there :/ I think I might just order a bunch online and return the ones I don't like, but was hoping to see if people had suggestions.

Eddie Bauer makes some nice sweatshirts and hoodies. Lands end has a few thermals that I find way very warm to wear under a shirt and jacket. I highly recommend those.

You might want to look at good fleece jacket for in-between weather.
In midwest, North Face, Columbia, Lands End, LLBean, Eddie Bauer, etc are very popular jacket for 40-50 degree weather. Also doesn't absorb water like a sweatshirt does in damp weather. You should be able to buy this online- just depends how much you want to spend.

Neither my husband nor myself like pullovers, but we do love the zip style hoodies from Eddie Bauer. My hubby's favorite is the Sherpa Fleece Lined Hoodie: http://www.eddiebauer.com/catalog/p...ategoryName=EB&viewAll=n&pg=1&cmPathInfo=null

I just saw First Ascent (at Eddie Bauer) has a pullover hoodie type thing...but it may be too lightweight.

My husband has a softshell jacket also from Eddie Bauer that he loves. He sometimes wears it in the fall when he bikes to work but it does not have a hood and is full zip (of course): http://www.eddiebauer.com/catalog/p...ategoryName=EB&viewAll=n&pg=2&cmPathInfo=null

I will say that I do know that their regular pullover hoodies ARE very thick so I'm sure they would be nice and warm.

2 I can solidly recommend are the North Face fleece pullover and Life Is Good sweatshirts. The Life is Good ones feel like a hug on the inside they are so soft.:)

Under Armor has water resistant hoodies. I just bought my middle DD another one as she does not wear coats to school and these are warm for her to stand at the bus stop in the morning. I does get cold here but she likes the UA hoodies and does not complain about the cold in them.
