War And Attendance

How has the war affected attendance at WDW? I know the airlines are hurting and the threat of terrorizing the parks must have a definite cut in attendance. Just when people were getting over 9-11 the war had to start. I would hate to see my favorite place go under because customers are afraid to go there.

The airlines are reporting that the drop in bookings is not as bad as after 9/11. That being said, there is a drop in bookings in the 10-20 percent range. This is added to the soft bookings that were already a result of the soft economy.
All in all... I think this will have an impact on Disney, but not to the extent of 9/11. This will all depend on how the war goes and whether or not there are any acts of terrorism in the future. It will be interesting to see if Disney starts discounting during the summer season.
