Wanyama Safari with food allergies?

Has anyone done the Wanyama Safari at AKL with food allergies? It includes a group meal at Jiko with a set menu. This is an expensive treat for us, and I'm worried that the allergy safe food will be boring or not as yummy. I'm sure they'll find something for us to each but for the price, I'd like it to not be disappointing. We're also mostly vegetarian so that's an added restriction.

I woud contact them before you book. While they try, I think it's important to remember that you are paying for the experience- just like character dining. While it would be nice to be "wowed", I try and remind my FA kids that food is to fuel the body and may not always be "fun" even at WDW.

We paid a lot for a special fireworks cruise and while they were informed of our list of allergies, they didn't do anything out of the ordinary for the kids which was a bummer (I know they have Enjoy Life and through perhaps they would include some but they didn't) but I had safe stuff with me as usual and they enjoyed the show.
