So it has always been our dream to visit Paris someday. Thinking maybe next year of giving our children an experience instead of only presents. I have only been to the USVI, so never out of the country. My youngest has always wanted to visit every Disney park in the world. Questions:

Airline tickets???? We will have to fly out of Florida, so when should I start looking for tickets? Do the prices ever go down? Are they really $1700 a ticket?

Where do you stay? I know we will want to see Paris, but will want to spend time in Disneyland too.

How much money to budget? I am not for sure how long we would stay. I don't know how many days is adequate for us.

I also will have to get passports. We do not have these yet.

Hi , I went to Disneyland Paris Christmas 2013, arriving 23 December, leaving 27 December. I was with my mum and we stayed onsite, at Sequoia Lodge. Christmas at DLP is peak time, so if you want to go for 2016, you really need to get cracking with plans.

I use www.skyscanner.com The airport to fly into is Charles de Gaulle. Transatlantic flights go up in price as the nearer you get to departure date. The best time to get transatlantic flights is between 6 to 10 months before departure date.

The airport is about an hour from DLP and there is good transport, private transfer, bus and train options.

There are 6 onsite hotels ranging from the top tier Disneyland Hotel to budget family friendly Cheyanne and Santa Fe. When booking an onsite hotel, park hopper tickets and breakfast are included in the price. Disney also try to push the meal plans.

There is also a nearby purpose built new town called Val d'Europe which has a range of top tier, mid price and budget hotels. Most provide shuttle buses (10 minutes approx) to the parks.

Paris is easy to get to from DLP. There is a train station onsite and you can get to central Paris in 40 minutes. Many people stay at DLP and do a day trip to central Paris

When you leave USA you lose a day, ie you would depart Florida on a Monday and arrive France on the Tuesday. To allow for jetlag and general acclimatisation (France at Christmas is cold temperatures approx 40F, with a possibility of rain) your first day wil be gone. Then you will need about 6 days, which will include a day trip to Paris, then another day to travel home. 5 days is plenty in DLP as it is far smaller than Florida, more on the scale of California.

As for budget, everyone is different, but I usually budget approx $70 a day for meals, drinks and snacks. The hotel / park packages all depend on the hotel you stay at. Come back and open a new thread when you are booking your hotel / park tickets package as there many options for booking which American people dont know about

I also will have to get passports. We do not have these yet.
THIS is the most urgent and first thing you need to do.
