We have a 8:10pm ADR for Wednesday, Oct 17th. I have been trying like crazy to get something earlier. We are just a party of 2. Would we be okay with showing up earlier or would it be a waste of time probably? Thoughts?

You could try arriving earlier, but if they are booked solid, there's probably not much chance you will get in before your ADR time. I would keep trying every day multiple times a day as people cancel all the time and you never know when something might become available. On one of our past trips, I couldn't find anything available for 1900 PF for the day I wanted after trying for about 2 months. Finally, one morning after looking 3 or 4 times that day already, the day and time I wanted popped up, so there is a chance you could get an earlier time. Good luck :wizard:.

I actually think they are notorious for seating people late. We have never been seated on time much after opening. So while you could try to arrive early, do so with the understanding it could be a long wait.

I'd keep watching for a cancellation.

IIRC there are only four two-tops there, the slots go quickly. Keep trying for cancellations, we scored a two-top on a walk up a few years back, but that was before the CC hold and no show penalties.

Yes, we've sat at a 2-top several times there. It seems there were just a few in a line in that one area.

My understanding is that Disney does not apply the $10 per person charge for inomplete parties. If this is important to you, I'd probably consider looking also for openings for larger parties then 1) calling to adjust the party size down or 2) just telling them at the podium that part of your party did not come.

Good luck!

This is the problem with 1900 PF. Everytime we have eaten there if we haven't had an ADR at or right around opening or later in the evening like 7:30 or so, its been a long wait to be seated. I asked once because it was just taking SO long and we were really frustrated and they said its because the characters take longer to get around the room and people wait to see them.

There's always a chance though. In March DD and I had a later lunch ADR for Sci-Fi but decided about 11:45 or 12:00 that we were hungry then. Since we were close by I went to the podium to ask if we could be seated early. I think she misunderstood me at first and thought I was a walk up. She said we could wait but it would be awhile. When she put our names in she was like, oh you guys have an ADR its just for later. We can probably seat you in a few minutes. We were seated shortly after that. So its worth trying. It was like she just let us check in early or something, I don't know. And there was a large crowd of people waiting to be seated.
