DW and I enjoyed it this past October. Because they were remodelling the Wantilan Luau Pavilion, the luau took place on the lawn where they had arranged about 20 tables. Each tables sits about 10 people. Everybody receives a lei as they enter. The food is served buffet style and is based upon Polynesian culture. Table servers will get your drink orders, which are included in the price.
As for the show, there are 3 females and 2 males who dance in various South Pacific luau outfits. Music is supplied by the polynesian band whose lead man interacts with the audience. Later in the evening, several audience members will be asked up on the stage to partake in some dancing moves which is pretty funny.
We found the atmosphere very relaxing, the food tasty and the entertainment fun. The weather cooperated by being pleasant. We'd probably do it again on future trip but not the next one.
