I understand completely. However, I have spoken to a few individuals who purchased their tickets in advance, albeit
AAA, undercovertourist.com, etc. and have had emergencies and/or unexpected financial issues to deal with that have prohibited them from taking the trip. I assume that most all of you have purchased various items online via eBay, Craigslist, etc. which is conducting business with individuals that you don't even know. I realize there are more protective measures in place to prevent fraud but everything has a risk/reward variable associated with it.
I also understand that the non-expiry tickets are good for them to hold on to for the future, but in desperate times come desperate measures, meaning that they need the money and have a tangible item that they can sell at a discounted rate rather quickly. Am I making any sense?
I came here to ask a simple question and all that I have received thus far are sarcastic comments, and justifications on why not to purchase Disney tickets over the internet. Having been a DVC member for a couple of years, an eBay buyer/seller since 1996 (Yes, 1996), I seemed to have done an exceptional job of educating myself with regards to the "in's & out's" of online transactions. Please, let's just try to keep the replies "on topic". I don't need advise on how I should spend my money. One of which is an informative and intelligent decision that only I can make.
Best,
Scott
