Hello All!

I am hoping to get some opinions from those of you who have stayed at BLT in a 1Br and/or a 2Br.

First, some background info: we are a family of 5, 2 adults and a 5, 3 and 1 year old. We usually stay in a 2BR, VWL, during May or September. We just found out that hubby is deploying with the USAF in March 2010 so we want to take a family trip before he leaves for a year.

We currently have a 2Br, LV booked at BLT for 8 nights (Thanks to a recent ADD-ON at BLT) and then will have enough points with banking/borrowing to take a 7 night trip in a VWL 2Br upon his return in 2011.

I have re-worked our numbers and realize that we could book a 1Br at BLT for 10 nights for our upcoming trip and leave enough points leftover to stay 8 nights in a VWL 2 Br upon his return in 2011.

Since the 1Br at BLT has 2 full baths I really think that we could make this work. Also, with the shorter hours and cooler weather in February I don't think we will be returning to the room daily for a mid-day break as we usually do, so having a seperate room for the kids to "nap" in doesn't seem as neccessary.

So, what do you think? Will a family used to traveling and staying in a 2Br be happy in a 1 Br ....

Thoughs? Opinions? Any and All will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you are used to hanging-out in the living room or kitchen area while the kids sleep or nap in the bedroom, then you will have to adjust. Basically the living room of a 1B will be their bedroom, and you'll pretty much have to stick to the master bedroom whenever they are sleeping.

If that's not an issue then it probably won't be much different than having a 2B.

I'd go for the extra nights and a bit more "togetherness" any day. We're also a close family and the 4 of us (including 2 teens) will be staying in a BLT studio for a few nights in November. Will it be snug?...yup...but it will be absolutely fine and it saves me enough points for several nights on another trip.

You know your family best. If you think you'll be fine in the 1BR then go for it!
