For all of you trip planners out there: Has anyone plannned the "perfect" day full of activities for your next trip? Please share??:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I'm surprising the kids with a trip to Discovery Cove...very expensive, but I'm hoping it will create lifelong memories.

Hi Jacksmom!

To me, the "perfect" day would not be full of activities, but would be a chance to slow down in the parks, take in things we normally rush by, and not feel compelled to "hurry." One of my best memories last trip was hanging out by the railroad station in MK and watching a one-legged duck hop around looking for scraps to eat. He was so cool! Then we ran into the Mayor and took pictures with him and pet the horses that were lined up with the carriages. Times like that can't be planned, but they are precious!

Good luck with your planning!!

I agree with buckeye! Take it slow and create some great memories just. Sometimes it is the smallest things in life that mean the most.

I agree with the previous two posters.. I just like to relax and do Disney at my pace, take in a few shows, eat somewhere nice in Epcot, catch a parade and maybe the fireworks...

I do love seeing Offkilter when they are at Epcot and I always enjoy the British Invasion, both in World Showcase...

Let us know how you did plan your perfect day....Have a good one.

The last time we looked for the "secrets" that everyone mentions in WDW. It was fun finding all those little things that you rush by but once you seem them you think of all the time and effort that went into creating them in the parks.

The key under the mat, the umbrella, hidden mickeys, etc.

Sleep in late, have a character breakfast at your favorite restaurant (mine would be 1900 Park Fare), spend some time around the pool in the afternoon, maybe a few hours at Downtown Disney shopping, back to the room for some more r&r and then an Illuminations cruise (on the Breathless) to see the fireworks followed by dessert at Beaches and Cream.

Even though we've been to Disney just about every year for the past 4 or 5 years, I have yet to slow down as some of the previous posters mentioned. I probably won't slow down and take it easy when we visit next month as I have newbies with me who I know will want to see as much as possible but that's my goal for next year. I want to take at least one day and just "smell the roses". Happy planning!!!!

We are going to rent the mouse boats this trip and try to have some down time too. Our last trips were great but very busy. My favorite time was just sitting in the parks after hours and watching the crowds file out.

To my family, this was "perfect" but we didn't even plan it out. We went to the MK at 9:30 AM, parked at the POLY and said we were going to eat at the character buffet. Really we were taking the monorail to the MK. Did a lot of rides, ate at Cosmic Ray's for lunch and about at 5:00 decided to go back to POLY for Ohana dinner. This place was great. After that we relaxed on the beach for about an hour, then we went back to MK by boat. Did more rides, watched the fireworks and got back to our car at 1:00 in the morning at the POLY. It was just a perfect day and a relaxing one at the same time.
