Wanted: a "places post" for Oahu

Forget Oahu, I want to hit Kauai!! LOL!

When I was a kid, we went to Oahu and Kauai. The majority of the stuff I remember was from Oahu and that's part of why I want to return there, even if it's just for a day on either end. (Isn't it cheaper and easier to fly into Honolulu anyway? I'll have to research that...). But I definitely want to spend the majority of the trip on Kauai and Maui.

Mrsv -- exactly right! Half the fun of trips for me is the planning and dreaming.

Ideally, what I'd like to do is have 2 weeks to explore the islands. THat's not going to happen, though. Not for a few years anyway. So, looking at the more realistic of 9 days...

day 1: fly
day 2: Oahu
Day 3 - 5: Kauai
Day 6 & 7: Maui
day 8: Oahu
day 9: fly home

I'm so glad you asked for photos of Hawaii, Rajah. I really want to visit that state one of these days.

Until I can convince my husband to ride in a plane over the ocean or to board a cruise ship, I will have to daydream and look at beautiful photos.

Thanks Elaine and OK, such beautiful photos you posted. *sigh* I really, <i>really</i> want to go to Hawaii.
