I'm trying to decide on a place to eat for lunch at Epcot and want to try something new that I've never been to. I've been to: Le Cellier, Chefs de France, Monsieur Paul, Restaurant Marrakesh, Via Napoli, Nine Dragons, and Teppan Edo.

I'm a little bit of a picky eater so I'm struggling with some of the menus, but my boyfriend likes almost everywhere and don't want to hold him back from a fun new experience. Any suggestions on where we should eat?

I also vote for Biergarten, all you care to eat buffet and a show! We love it!!

I'm a bit of a picky eater myself and I didn't really care for Biergarten. My husband loved it though.
Could you snack around the world?? There are so many awesome options in the countries :)

Rose and crown is good as well for something new and the food choices aren't bad for a picky eater.

I was looking at Biergarten, but there isn't much I'd eat there. What's the kids food like? The soup at Rose and Crown looks good.

Was thinking about doing this, maybe going to a few of the quick services in each country instead of just one restaurant. I just don't want to miss out on a cool restaurant because of my pickiness. Was also thinking maybe I just get an appetizer somewhere so my boyfriend can get the restaurant experience and maybe I get a snack somewhere else later if I'm still hungry.

Rose and Crown! They have steak and fish & chips for the picky eaters, and bangers and mash for the more adventurous eaters.

Biergarden does not have a children's menu. What you see on the menu is what is offered

For atmosphere, I would consider San Angel Inn. I'm not a huge fan of the food, but it is really cool to eat in the Mexican pavilion with the boats going by.

Biergarten is pretty neat inside. The theming is cool and the music is fun. You have to be prepared to sit with others at your table, though, who may or may not want to speak with you. My DS used to be a pretty picky eater and we were always able to piece together a meal for him there. But, if you aren't going to eat a lot, it may not be worth the cost.

Our favorite restaurant in EP is Spice Road Table. The food quality is the best for a 1 TS in EP, IMHO. The CM's are super friendly and they have a good cocktail menu as well. Plus the restaurant is pretty and has a great view.

San Angel Inn is a neat restaurant to eat at. The tortilla soup is so so good & I love their chips & salsa.

We really enjoy eating at Coral Reef too. Again, just a neat restaurant. However, it you don't like seafood the menu options will be limited for you.

I think I'd be okay with eating somewhere that looks really cool even if the menu doesn't totally appeal to me. I can just get an appetizer. I think I have to cut Biergarten from the list even though the pictures I've seen look really cool, since it's a buffet I don't think I'd eat enough to make the money worth while. For San Angel Inn is it hard to get a table near where the boats go by?

San Angel Inn has really good food. My wife is from the border and she loved the tortilla soup and chicken she had. She said it made her feel like she was home. Also, La Hacienda de San Angel Inn is another good choice. The food is pretty good there as well, but the atmosphere inside the pavilion is better honestly.

I'm also voting R&C. My kids are stupidly picky, and they like fish and chips. It's fried, ain't many kids that won't like that!

We just loved La Hacienda and I booked an ADR for around 7:45pm and then requested a window view. We had to wait a bit longer, but they accommodated us and it was nice to have dinner and watch Illuminations! We loved the mixed grill fajitas for two. The margaritas were yummy too! Such a pretty restaurant on the lake! Very nice!

San Angel Inn and Spice Road Table are both lovely. SRT has great food. I don't know what people ever mean by "picky" exactly, but SRT has some stuff that's very normal - kebabs, roasted chicken, etc. to items that are less mainstream. I think based on your reviews you'd enjoy it!

You mentioned some of our favorites with Chefs and LC but we also enjoy
Tutto Italia and Coral Reef.

The atmosphere at San Angel Inn is hard to beat. I've been there a few times and it's always one of my favorite places to go back to for that reason alone. I've never sat right near the railing along the river, but I've heard you can request it when you check in, if you're willing to wait a little while. But even if you don't, the rest of the place is awesome too. You still have a view of the pyramid, and you still feel like you're sitting outside in a twilight courtyard. Except it's air conditioned. If you're looking for a "fun new experience" like you said, it's hard to think of a better one.

The food is fine. I can't remember anything specifically that I had there that blew me away, but I've never had anything that was bad, either. If you go in expecting pretty typical American Mexican restaurant food, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Wait, there was that chocolate mousse, with a hint of cinnamon...THAT was pretty amazing.

The Biergarten is also a really great atmosphere, but you're right, you have to eat a lot to get your money's worth. But the food is good and there are lots of choices.

I second the suggestion for Spice Road Table, depending on your degree of "pickiness" (which can be different things depending on the person). They have good fried calamari if you like fried food, good kabobs and roasted chicken. You can also ask for plain sides without sauce (they're very good at substituting in my experience).
