Been to WDW 3 times now and I want to try new resturants, but I always find myself going back to ones that we really enjoyed before. Here is what I have for our Jan 2010 trip. What are your thoughts on the new ones we are trying. The only old one I am stuck on is Rose and Crown. That has sort of become a tradition and I love it so much. So if you have any recomendations for me I would love to hear it!

Old:
Coral Reef
Rose and Crown
Kona

New:
Bomma
50's Prime
HDR

We love all of your new choices. Boma is a great buffet, the Prime TIme has a great atmosphere and the HDDR is a classic!

As for trying new places, on my last trip I decided to eat at all new places. If I had eaten there before it was off the list. It was wonderful and I discovered some new favorites (Sanaa, Grand Floridian Cafe) that I probably never would have tried because we always went to the same spots.

Change is good!

My original goal was to eat at all the WDW owned restaurants. We're about 5 away and I've realized that I don't even care to try them as their menu's, antics, or atmosphere don't really appeal to me. On your list of new ones I don't care for Boma (tried it once in 2004, not a fan of the food although the atmosphere is nice) and 50's is on my "haven't tried" list (I don't like restaurants with "antics" and their recipes are standard home cooked meals I get all of the time). I've eaten at HDDR nine times (we're finally taking a break from it now :) ) and I think everyone should try it once (especially before prices go up again :scared1:). It's not my favorite restaurant and I think the only reason we have gone so much is that my Dad really likes it (or likes the all you can drink sangria ;) ). The food's ok and the show is cute/funny.

I like your new choices as well.

HDDR is a riot, and the food is pretty good as well.
Boma has a pretty good dinner, but we love it for breakfast.
We hit 50s PTC almost every trip, it is our favorite restaurant at DS. Try a peanut butter and jelly milk shake, they're awesome!

The only restaurant that I can comment on on your new list is 50's. That is a fun restaurant with good food. We have only done it once and we left there feeling fool and laughing because our waitress was hilarious. Now, for our ADRs....for our December trip we are doing mostly new restaurants but we are also returning to our favorites as well :goodvibes. To the OP, I understand about the Rose and Crown, we ate there for the first time in March and really enjoyed it.

I do the same thing!!!!

Kona Cafe` is a must-do for us, as is Coral Reef and Le Cellier. We actually have 2 new places this time: Liberty Tree Tavern lunch and Tutto Italia.

Boma is good. We had it this trip, but I actually cancelled it a few days ago, and booked Tutto Italia. I've seen too many good reviews and pics, and I couldn't resist. :rolleyes1 I'm a picky eater, and I found plenty to eat at Boma. Plus, AKL is AWESOME!!!!!!! We're actually staying at Kidani next month.

Boma - DH and I love the buffet breakfast. I like the dinner but DH isn't wild about it.

50's Prime - Always a good choice for good basic food at a reasonable price if paying out of pocket.

HDDR - Loved it as a kid. It was okay to see again in 2000, but I probably wouldn't go back if it's just DH and I. It's good to go at least once.

Your NEW ones contain 2 of my FAVES!!!

Boma and HDDR. Try it, you'll like it.

Boma is hands down our new favorite. Great setting, great food, great service, lots of fin... can't wait to go back for our next trip. Even our picky eaters loved it :thumbsup2

In my opinion, HDDR is something you have to try once. Pretty good food and silly entertainment but not something I would have to go back to every time.

Have you looked into California Grill? That's another great one we will go back to.

Boma is absolutely our favorite. I've booked a dinner and b'fast there again for our next trip in 11 days! :yay:
HDDR is a hoot. Doing that again as well.
Also doing 50's again.

All great choices. Have fun!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the feedback. It is nice hearing all the opinions!

Now I need to figure out if I should change any of my TS plans that we have done before. It is tempting.

On our next trip we will be trying at least 50% new ones. That way we don't get stuck on ones we've already been to, but return to our absolute favs!
It doesn't hurt that we are going for 12 nights though.
