Hi all,

We went to Disney last October and had the best time. We also got the DDP and I highly recommend it for those that haven't. The food is good, convenient and plenty!!

We are going again to Disney World in Sept 2007. We want to stay 10 days on the resort and are only purchasing 7 days of park passes. The other 3 days we will travel to the East and West coast on day trips, which means we don't need 10 days of DDP, we really only need 7.

We thought about making 2 different reservations (one a 7 day with DDP and the other a 3 day) but with the packages you need to book at least on day of park tickets.

Can anyone offer any suggestions. We even considered staying off the disney resort, but really would like to stay there because all of the great ameneties.

HELP!!!!

You can book a package for your first seven nights and then a room only for the second set of nights. You would not need a package since you only need a room to sleep in.

Are you planning any signature meals or shows that require 2 credits? Are tehre any days you would like to have more than 1 TS? If so, then you may want the DDP for all 10 days.

You can book two reservations, back-to-back, with the smaller reservation being a room-only, assuming availability in each respective inventory for the dates you're aiming for. Keep in mind that, while extremely unlikely, you may have to move rooms mid-trip.

Do the dining credits not expire at midnight on your day of checkout?

Therefore if your trips out of Disney were on the last 3 days, this would be ok since you would not need DDP, but if they are in the middle of your trip then the dining credits would expire when you 'check-out' of your first reservation? Leaving you credits down.

Could you not purchase the plan for 10 days, then on 3 of the days you could eat at signature restaurants or do a dinner show? Or check what times you'll get back off your day trip - you might be back at 6-7ish and you could make a TS res for then?

If it were me, I'd get DDP for all 10 days and use the CS credits for a quick breakfast before you leave and then your TS's for a late dinner when you get home. Or use them for signature meals or first/last day meals.

I second this Idea.;)

This is what we would do too!!!
