i shared this on my fb wall. i also said not to freak because of the title ("my son is gay"), but to actually read what the mom had to say. i never had a problem with any of my kids doing stuff like that! the boys and girls played dress up and played with dolls/trucks, tools, etc and they are all perfect today!!!

My BIL flipped a lid when his son (3 at the time) wanted to dress as a TellaTubby, the one that it was suggested was gay. He has also lost it when we put my DD's bonnet on his infant son's head. He wanted to know how I would react if he dressed my daughter in army fatigues - I said, go for it, not a big deal to me. He ranted and raved for a while, and we all just laugh at him. He has issues I guess, maybe fighting his own demons, who knows.

Haha. . I think it's cute. When we were kids it wasn't unusual for boys to dress up in girl costumes, or vice versa. Heck my DD15 was Johnny Knoxville this year. I don't think anybody gave her a hard time for dressing up as a man.

Just as an aside my DS10 was a swamp monster and my DD8 was a princess. Before they went out TOTing they switched costumes. My son made a great princess.
