The Hotel Del is a great and historic structure. It's also said to be haunted:

Just ask for room 3312 when checking in!

They do let people stay in that room but you have to specifically ask for it.

I LOVE the DEL--it is one of my favorite places to stay. The hotel is just amazing. They also have really comfortable beds .

Ok, so we are going to San Diego in October. Where did you stay? Did you like it? How was getting around the city? We will be renting a car...is driving horrible?

What other fun stuff did you do?

It was lovely! We stayed at the Del for a few nights then moved over to the HIE in Old Town and it was actually very nice as well and quiet!

I think San Diego is very driveable its pretty straight forward. I would get a GPS though just in case.

This trip we didnt do as much as the last few times we had been. This was a company trip for the first part so we were busy with galas and that sort of thing. We did do Old Town and the maritime Museum (which is one of my favourite things to do there). We also spent some time at Seaport Village which I really liked.

Great Pictures!!!!

I was there december 2008 and although I didn't get to see the beach by the hotel, we walked all around the inside the hotel, and around the outside of the property. So pretty and great christmas decorations!!
