Want to rent points for 12/02

Dh and I will be there 12/15-12/18. Right now we are booked for POR, but would rather rent points and stay in a DVC studio if possible. DIS Calculator says I would need:
24 OKW
27 BWV
36 BCV/WLV

How do I know if these dates are available?
Do I pay tax on the rental?
