I am so psyched down another 2 lbs finally below the 170 mark. Six more weeks until our March trip to Orlando. Have to keep going still missing chocolate so much

Keep it up everyone

Thanks to the OP for starting this post!!!

ChisJo, Tone.def, laura.oo1, and cruisin Welcom aboard.

Cruisin great job on losing 30 pounds, you must be so proud of yourself.

ChisJo you should ask your phy. Therapist about exercising and/or walking in a pool, its great exercise with resistance but no damaging jarring to your joints.

cabmom i'm checking out that website now

Yes I was very pleased that I managed to lose so much weight and I actually did not find it all that difficult to do.

I started by switching from Pepsi to Diet Pepsi.

I also increased my exercise a bit.

I realized I don't own a scale anymore! I tossed it to prevent myself my further nervous breakdowns!

If I can get down to a size 11 from a 15, I think that's about 20 pounds...

Well, today is official weigh-in day, and two weeks into my New Year's Resolution I'm down 9 pounds. I have been very good (about watching the diet, that is ;)) and although I know I'll never be able to keep up this pace it's given me a little impetus to get me through the weekend. This puts me two weeks ahead of schedule so I have a little bit of slack for those weeks when I can't lose anything.

I was able to play squash twice this week, hit the weight room, and I plan on a little cardio (stationary bike) later today. I haven't had four trips to the gym in a week for months and boy, does it ever help.

Good luck to the rest of you. If I can do it then you can too. :p

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! :rotfl:

Mike. Thats great ! I wish I had good news but have to say I havn't lost anything yet (not going to give up).
I am having a harder time this year shaking off the weight. I have been trying to reduce my calorie intake but I think I have to take a harder line on this and tackle my cravings head on. Any suggestions out there how to curb cravings? I guess visualising what I will look like in my speedo as I catch the rays at Typhoon Lagoon (if I don't loose weight) is a good motivator. Also I'm going to drag out the tread mill today. Wish me luck.

reduced calories + exercise = progress.

P.S.
Reading all your comments and suggestions are helping alot you guys thanks.

Would love to get in on this. I don't go till October, but after looking at pics of myself from my last trip in September, have to do something.
I need to lose about 4o lbs.

Congratulations Mike on your weight loss so far.

Janet, hang in there, slow and steady wins the race ;)

pkitty ~~ just keep on trying, you will get there. :cheer2:

A good idea is to take measurements before you start your weight loss and then take them occasionally during your weight loss. Sometimes you don't seem to be losing any weight but in actuality you ARE losing inches.

My official weigh in day is tomorrow. I'm hoping for some loss to report. :smooth:

Chew mint gum! It found it takes the craving away and drink lots of water.

We're not going back until next july which seems far away but..
i looked at pics from July 05 and I looked a LOT better then!!!
My biggest prob seems to be motivation and time. (I am currently on my stability ball tho)

I went to the gym last night and did 50 minutes of cardio (20 on bike, 30 on cross trainer) The big question is always WHEN do I go again since our schedules are so crazy.

Keep the positive feedback coming. I'd like to kiss 10 lbs goodbye!

Official weigh in day and I'm down 1 1/2 pounds :cheer2:

Slow and steady wins the race :cool1:

I never drink water, or very rarely :confused3

I don't have a speedo to wear at TL, but I do keep picturing my exposed skin, rolls and all, when we are there in March. It helped me lose my first 3 pounds this week. Love hearing about everyone else's successes and motivations. Good job all!

It's to keep you hydrated and give you a false sense of fullness! :thumbsup2

Plus it flushes out the impurities out of your bod!

Oh I am FINALLY back on line!!! My computer died on my on Monday and it apparently was the fan overheating ... so it feels like ages since I've been on!!!

But ... since I haven't been here as often, I have been walking more  Plus I started a weekly skating session on Wednesdays and that seems to be really good for the abs. My poor abs are pretty non-existent :rolleyes2 ... two babies and two c-sections have a tendency to do that I guess ;) So I am going to get a ball as well and start using it more. It is hard to hide though and the kiddos think it is an awesome toy  !

Anyways ... we've been watching this week and I'm down a pound. Now I have to make sure I drink lots of water!!

Kerri

Keep up the good work Cruisin!! That's wonderful.
