Want to know best to worst in Epcot

Please list the places you've eaten at in Epcot in order of best to worst. We will be staying at Beach Club and will be eating at Epcot a lot and want opinions.

This is so subjective. What I love, you might hate. I say look over the menus and go with the places that sound best to you. We have eaten in every Epcot restaurant and have never had a bad meal.

We like les chefs de France for lunch but there have been a lot of people here on the boards that have indicated they do not like it.

My best to worst. Today, ask me again in a week and I'll change mind. I've enjoyed many a meal in Epcot!

Tutto Gusto---enjoyed the atmosphere and that you could order off either the Tutto Gusto or Tutto Italia menu

Monsieur Paul-nice high quality French Cusine, great Service.

Biergarten- first time I ate here it was amazing, second time only so so. But I'd still go back.

Restaurant Marrakech--great food; easy to get reservations beautiful interior

San angel Restaurante-- I have some dishes here I love. Atmosphere is the best!

Tutto Italia--good food, ok atmosphere

Via Napoli--same as Tutto

Les Chefs--Solud choice, but soesn't knock my socks off

Rose and Crown- will go back one day, but only had a mediocre experience

tangerine cafe--not that special for me

Le Cellier--only restaurant in Epcot I ave no desire to eat at again. The food is good, but it is not mind blowing. And if a meal is to be that expensive it should be mind blowing!

Wow, difficult question. Food and cuisine type are a deeply personal experience. That being said, it is in my experience, that a bad dining event is a rarity at Disney. I know many will disagree with my choices, but I'll give them anyways.
1. Le Cellier - yes, it is expensive and dark and surprisingly loud. But it was one of the best meals I have had in our 5 trips to WDW.
2. Restaurant Marrakesh - 1st time I had this cuisine type. Outstanding meal and atmosphere. Stay for the belly-dancing show.
3. Nine Dragons - Appears to be standard American-Chinese food, but it is prepared much better than your "local" Chinese restaurant. Generous portions and great service.
4. Biergarten Restaurant - Only rate it last on my list because it is a buffet. I generally tend to rate buffets lower simply due to mass produced food. In my opinion, you never get the chef's best if it is served buffet. However, this is an excellent buffet. And the atmosphere is straight out of Oktoberfest.
The other countries, we have not done table service, but have used the counter service locations and were able to try so many different cuisines.
It will always be subjective when choosing dining, just remember to keep and open mind, try new things, and trust Disney to serve you well so you want to come back.

1. Le Cellier. The food isn't spectacular but it is quite good (though they are steadily pricing themselves out). But more importantly, we just have a great time there. For some reason I tend to get along with Canadians, and for some strange, unidentifiable reason Canadians love me. Add some Unibroue and that's a good mix.
2. Tutto Gusto. This is one of the coolest places on property, with a good wine list and good food, but great, great atmosphere. Leather couches in Epcot? Yes, please.
3. Monsieur Paul. With a caveat. I haven't eaten here since it changed from the Bistro. When it was that, it was good but not memorable.
4. Rose & Crown. Food needs a boost. But a fun place, particularly if you're seated on the patio. If you can see past the imperialism, of course!
5. Cava de Tequila. Also a very cool place, but the limited availability of snacks makes it not really a restaurant.
6. Restaurant Marrakesh. Good food, and used to be a great value. Now the prices are ridiculous for what you get. A shame.
7. Teppan Edo. Standard teppanyaki fare, but maybe the best show I've ever seen at one of these places. I'm not a huge fan of the genre, though....
8. Chefs de France. I don't know, people like it. The first time I went the food was nasty. A bad night, perhaps? Second time, just as poor. I can't help thinking about the cafe the Griswalds ate at in Paris during European Vacation.
9. Biergarten. I'm of German descent. My mother makes amazing German food. I go to a decent biergarten here in Albany. I regularly go to a great one in Brooklyn. I've been to many of the better German restaurants in the U.S. This isn't good enough to rate. But definitely get the hand-twisted pretzel outside!
10. San Angel Inn. **. Rent a car. One of the things Orlando has-- outside the I-Drive chain hell, that is-- is some quality in its Mexican restaurants (the best are actually hybrids run by Guatemalans or Columbians, etc., but I digress). This is NOT one of them.

Opinions all, of course. I'm sure everyone has differing takes....

There are far too many here to give you a review of each and every one of them. And this list does not even include the ones in Future World.

I've eaten at almost every one of them over the years. Whether my review of any of them would translate into anything meaningful or relevant for you is a mystery. You have no idea what my personal food preferences are, just as I don't know yours.

If you want a review of any particular restaurant, click on the name of that restaurant in the link. It will give you restaurant and menu info as well as reviews.

I rank Coral Reef at the very bottom of the heap at WDW for inexcusably poor service, dining room ambiance and food quality. Monsieur Paul probably has the best quality (and most expensive) food in Epcot. 99% of the remainder: you will probably end up with a 50-50 split of people who like or dislike any particular place. That's the problem with such a subjective question.

Why not just look at the menus and go with whatever appeals to your family's food preferences.

I agree with a lot of posts here, what you like, I might not and vice versa. I will share places we have eat and give opinions. Just to throw out there, since you will be at BC, Beaches n Cream and ESPN are both good and no ressies needed
Quick service:
Elec. Umbrella...just so so, nothing to write home about
Sunshine Seasons...really enjoy this as it gives variety for all tastes
Lotus Blossom cafe...really good
Cant remember the name but the Japan quick service...really good but many yrs ago, so may have changed
Table Service
Le Cellier...a family must do for many yrs, but in last few, menu changed, favs went away, price went up, so no more
Rose n Crown...hit and miss on food, but worth a try
Chefs de France...certain things we really like, not a must do but we enjoy when we go
Via Napoli...Just OK IMO, been 3 or 4 times, honestly, pizza is more tasty at our local hole in the wall back home
Akershus...Did this back in 99, it was good but we werent in new foods mode like now, so would like to go again
Marakeesh...wouldnt do again
Japanese Steak House(cant remember name)...nope, never again, had lots better in our local one for half the price
Biergarten, San Angel Inn and Nine Dragons, all Must Dos every trip!!

I have to agree with the others. There is no such thing as a single Best to Worst list of restaurants in Epcot. It is totally personal opinion. Looking at what is already posted, I know I agree with some and disagree with others.
I agree with the advice. Look at the menus here and on allears.net. Look for the type of cuisine that appeals to YOU and your family. Then make some ADR's start the adventure of forming your own opinions.

While I agree that every family's taste is different and therefore you should have a family meeting, go over the menus and figure out what is best for you and your tastes. But in saying that, i will give you our family's opinion after going there for the past 7 years with 3 nights always spent at Epcot.

May I first suggest going to Germany to the Werthur's bakery and trying some of their fresh caramel corn? It is the stuff dreams are made of!!!!

Quick Service:
Tangierine Cafe--what an incredible, tasty and huge lunch meal. It would work for dinner as well. Only draw back is that the only dessert offered is baklava which my family does not like. But that doesn't stop us from eating their twice on our visits!!

Sunshine Seasons--the food court in the Land pavilion. Great selection, good food and great desserts.

Yorkshire County Fish Shop--a must for my husband for Fish & Chips.

TABLE SERVICE-
Coral Reef--has always been our favorite until this year when they changed their menu. It wasn't that it was bad but our favs were not there so we will skip it next year. However, they still had the incredible Baileys & Jack Daniel's mousse. It is to die for!!! We have always had good service but what is best about this place is the ambiance. Request a window seat and you will get to watch all the sea life up close. It is a wonderful environment and good food.

Garden Grill-if you want a character event, this is a nice restaurant. We hadn't eaten here in years because the last time we did, things were a bit heavy. However, my daughter and I ate here and requested steamed broccoli, along with the turkey and some other stuff. We enjoyed it for the ambiance (as it circulates while you eat) and for the characters. It's not fine dining but it is a nice place in the Land.

Chefs de France-we did lunch there and really enjoyed it. Ask for a window seat to people watch.

La Hacienda De San Angel-I think by far, this is the best restaurant for ambiance!! We always ask for a seat by the water. Very nice. My husband enjoyed it tremenedously but for me, not so much. Point is, even within families there can be differing opinions.

Canada--do for lunch. I would agree with another poster that it is good but not blow your socks off good. Therefore, it doesn't warrrant 2 table service credits (or the expense if paying). Lunch will give you the same feeling.

Italy--Again, nothing to write home about. Not bad but not incredible.

Biergarten--Great fun and wonderful ambiance. My family enjoys it for the german food, me, I would rather skip it.

May I suggest that you travel to our family's favorites by hopping the monorail--Our favs are Ohana's!!!!!! and California Grill which we just had the pleasure of trying for the first time this past September. Both are worth it--great food, great environment and a dining experience.

The rest, including Coral Reef, all fall into a close tie for okay to mediocre. Having dined at each more than once, I find them to be inconsistent. My least favorite is San Angel Inn. I also think Le Cellier is not good enough to qualify as a signature restaurant but I think it's decent in comparison to several of the other Epcot restaurants.

The only one I have not dined at is Nine Dragons.

Also, I think Tangierine Cafe counter service is better than several of the table services in World Showcase.

The Epcot resort area restaurants are better than almost anything at WDW. Shulas, Il Mulino, bluezoo, Kimonos, Flying Fish-I would rank all of these higher than any of the Epcot park restaurants.

I realize it is a subjective question. That is why I said I would like your OPINION. It does help me when people make comments as to why somewhere was great or not so great because then I can say whether I might agree or disagree. I have already looked at the menus but menus can't tell you if a restaurant has poor service or overpriced food. I figured this would all be taken into account with people ranking their favs and not so favs. I have only been to a few of the restaurants so like having advice from those who have more experience than myself.

I assume you mean TS. If so, here's my votes...

Coral Reef -- I know this may seem strange to many, but we had simply an amazing meal here. Excellent server, beautiful, CALM atmosphere. Vegetarian dish was the best my husband has had anywhere in WDW (this came as a huge surprise.) The desserts were to die for.

Via Napoli -- Only place we go to pretty much every trip. Good value for money, too.

Tokyo Dining -- Excellent for an adults only meal. Wonderful service, very very good food. One of the most underrated restaurants in WDW.

Teppan Edo -- Good with kids. Portions are reasonably good and food is tasty though nothing to write home about. A bit overpriced and a bit loud inside.

Chef des France -- Good though somewhat slow service. Beautiful inside. I can't even remember what I ordered so obviously it didn't leave a big impression.

Le Cellier -- Just wasn't that great. Atmosphere is pleasant. Not that special IMO and expensive. But worth trying once for sure.

Marrakesh -- Eh, not bad but there's so much better in Epcot. I'm half Persian, so eat excellent Persian food all the time, and I think good rice beats good couscous any day of the week. Nice atmosphere and nice enough server.

I have never eaten a bad meal in Epcot, until this past July. We ate counter service at the Lotus Blossom Cafe. It was horrible.
The menu is very limited, there is only outside dining (and when it's hot, like it is in July, there are only 3, small fans that provide cooling that hang from the ceiling). The food was bland, and I had sweat pouring down my back, because it was sooooo hot.

Let me just add this: many PP have said that a list like this will vary greatly depending on personal preference, which of course is true. I definitely look at menus and choose dining based on items available. However, the other complicating factor is the inconsistency in nearly all Disney restaurants IMO. We've found one meal to be quite good and the next visit to be quite bad, sometimes even with the same menu item. There are just a couple of places we think are exceptions--Brown Derby for one, and oddly The Plaza as well. Basically you just have to look at menus, locations, etc, choose where you'd like to eat, and speak up to your server if you don't think the food is good.

No particular order:

Biergarten - We thought the food was OK, but didn't enjoy sitting with strangers. My wife (then GF and I) probably just weren't ready for that (we weren't aware until we showed up that is how we were seated). The family we sat with was perfectly friendly, I guess I wasn't in socialization mode. Will not return, but it made for a humorous memory.

Chefs de France - A favorite of my family's, we eat there everytime we go. Mom, dad, sister, brother in law, myself, my wife, and my two nieces all love it.

Rose and Crown - I enjoyed it, but I like British food. Only ate there one time but it was a good experience.

Restaurant Marrakesh - Wife and I love it, great atmosphere, great food, great service.

We ate at the restaurant in Mexico years ago (has this changed lately? I see it says "new" at allears.net), don't remember the name. Did not enjoy the food, and it was so dark I actually had a hard time seeing my plate.

Tutto Italia (I think that is the name, it was newly revamped when we went a year ago) - Loved it, whole family did. Great service, I got a really good seafood pasta, and I'm snobby about my seafood. No doubt this will become a regular stop for my family year after year.

My thoughts, in no particular order!

Quick-Service:

Katsura Grill: This is probably my current favorite QS at Epcot. The Udon noodles are really good. The dining area is adorable, especially at night. Very peaceful and romantic. It's kind of hidden away and I like that.

Tangierine Cafe: Delicious! This is DH's favorite QS at Epcot. He plans to eat there multiple times during our next trip.

Boulangerie Patisserie: One that I keep going back to. The larger size is a definite improvement. Yum!

Table Service:

San Angel Inn: It's been almost 10 years since I've been here and I honestly don't remember much about it. It's a cool restaurant because of the ambiance. I remember liking the food.

Bistro de Paris: Went there a long time ago as a teenager, don't remember much about it.

Rose & Crown: I was kind of disappointed by Rose & Crown. I ordered a salad though, so not sure that I had the most authentic experience.

Biergarten: Loved the food here! I was really surprised by Biergarten, especially since it's a buffet. I don't like eating with other people but it wasn't bad at all. Very delicious.

Teppan Edo: Very good food. Not super unique but fun nonetheless. Portions are definitely much more normal sized, rather than Disney sized.

Have also been to L'Originale Alfredo di Roma (Tutto Italia's predecessor). Don't remember much, but it's Italian so I'm sure I loved it.

For our next trip, we have ADRs at Le Cellier and Via Napoli

Th cafe in France is where we eat every trip, it is really good and even Better price (cheap!). We really enjoyed rose and crown and san angel both surprised me in a good way. The lotus blossom cafe was not to be repeated.

Of the places we've eaten at, we'd rate them best to worst:

-Monsieur Paul (but we at there, when it was Le Bistro) That said, it would have had to go down a tremendous amount to not still top the list.

-Les Chefs de France

-San Angel Inn

-Le Cellier

-Restaurant Marrekesh

-Tutto Italia

-Garden Grill (a long time ago)

-Restaurants Akershus (breakfast)

-Tie between Biergarten & Nine Dragons, but I'd give Nine Dragons another try sooner. I could try other menu items & may have a better experience. There was very little I thought was worth eating at Biergarten & buffets don't change often.

As a side note, I'd take the boat or longish walk to DHS & dine at Hollywood Brown Derby over any of the Epcot Restaurants.

1. tutto gusto- love the wine list
2. via napoli - love the pizza and sangria
3. le cellier- expensive but we have never had a bad meal here
4. chefs - it was ok, but too loud
5. tokyo dining - decent sushi but did not love the atmosphere
6. rose and crown- eh, not the best
7. nine dragons- eh, not so good
