I know that feeling..... At least I have Dove Chocolates next week. I wonder how the chocolate will actually last.

Dove Chocolate off-dates are up. I haven't been near a computer for 2 days, so I don't know when they went up. I didn't get any near me. All gone. :sad1:

I just booked ST for 10/4, Progresso soup and Yoplait. First TMT job I've seen since July 3rd! I was afraid it would disappear while I was RUNNING for my calendar!
On one of my last Walmart jobs, as I was carrying my table out, the door greeter wanted to check my "flat screen tv".:rotfl:
I wish, just think how many we all would have!

Thanks to those of you who clued me in about TMT and Target in my area. I faxed them an application yesterday and got called w/ my first event today! They are sending me a seperate MC card which is a bit of a pain, but at least I'll have more jobs open than KMart now. :cool1:

CapePirate, did you ever see the Boston subway station jobs listed? I never did, but I just received a generic email from Daniel listing the jobs that are left. :confused3 It looks like you are to book thru email with him & they are helping with gas $.

Right now I'm torn about booking any or not. The 1.5 hr train ride (each way) plus hour waiting for train really makes it a LONG day for 4 hours of pay.

That's a good one. :rotfl:

LParente - Glad you're able to get Target jobs now. The really important "thing" you need to know about TMT is that you need to account for every scheduled minute. If you're a minute short, they'll dock your pay. I haven't had a problem yet, but others on this thread have. Just make sure if it's a four hour event, you swipe in and out with no less than 4 hours. Also, they have a different mailing address too send Store Report forms.

Finally, the Archer Farms Cincinnamon cereal on 10/14 showed up. :thumbsup2

i am curious, if anyone has been contacted by phone, from insider events?
would they be the same as snagAjob? i filled out an application and a bit later i got a call from insider events.

nothing shows up for me in my area thru snagAjob, but i see 1 from mass connectors.

Thanks for the tip. So far I've always scanned in about 15 minutes early and scanned out about 5 minutes after event time ended, so I'll just keep that up. They gave me an Archer Farms granola for 10/7.

TMT just emailed me my login info and I was able to book the Archer Farms Cereal for 10/14. Every Target for 10 miles was still available for 10/7 and 10/14, so I don't think many people in my area are with TMT. Finally, some jobs!! Does Target do offdates?

Is the information on the first page still accurate? Go to snagajob, enter zip code, etc? Reason I ask is I don't see any mention of Target, Wal-Mart, Kmart or any specific stores to demo at.

Mostly I see that Kohl's, Hardee's, Michael's and Papa John's are hiring. And tons of "get paid to take surveys" or "secret shoppers needed" ads.

I did notice Mass Connections, that's a demo place right? So I'd first get hired by them and then book dates / demos off their site?

What's "TMT", a demo company and if so, do they have a website?

I need a job but because of DH long hours and weird schedule I need to be able to schedule myself. We've 2 children at home that aren't really old enough yet to be alone so if I could schedule myself for when he's off then I could make some money and *hopefully* be able to save it all for vacation next year.

Thanks!

Someone else will probably answer this better, but just go to www.stayingconnected.com and apply there. I'd PM SpashMtn99 and get her referral number because she's so helpful here and it'll earn her a point once you're hired (you need 25 to get a $25 gift card so it's not anything huge).

You apply online and then they call you to interview you. After you are hired, they send you a packet with an ID and password so you can look up what jobs are available in your area. Once you book a job, they send you your "kit" (cardboard table, hat, apron, etc.).

SPi and TMT are agencies used by Mass Connections (which is the stayingconnected.com site). In my state, there isn't TMT, just SPi. They seem to hold back Super Target jobs at first, but later I was added to see the open jobs online.

The majority of demo jobs (for a new hire - excluding Super Target) are on Saturdays or Sundays, 11 am to 4 pm at Walmarts, Super Walmarts, K-Marts, and some grocery stores.

Super Target has 11 am to 4 pm jobs during the week sometimes and sometimes 3 pm to 7 pm (but I've only seen that for a grand opening).

When I applied on the Staying Connected website and was hired, I was assigned to SPi which handles KMart and Walmart in my area. There weren't many events available. I contacted TMT directly after the nice people on the board were able to tell me that TMT handles the Targets around here. They also hired me and gave me login info and now Targets are available to me. I think you will find there is a great deal of flexibility in scheduling when you work. I'm glad I finally jumped in!

Now I am confused. Do you have to be with TMT to see Target? I am with SPI and frequently see Super Target pop up. Or are these ones that no one else (i.e. TMT folks) didn't want? Should I ask to be hired at TMT as well? How would I do that?

I think it all depends on your area. I am able to see every target job around me no problems (SPi Only for me)

now what is really odd is that I have not seen ANY walmart events in about a month now? those used to be my bread and butter.

There isn't TMT in my area, so it might be the same for you. When I had Daniel, I kept getting these emails begging for someone to work at a Super Target and I wrote and said I didn't see them online to book them so he wrote back and said they added me to Super Target. Now they have a few young girls who work at that Super Target and one asked me not to book anything there anymore because she needed the money (this was on a job that I booked a month in advance and sat empty for a week prior). She'd only been with MC 2 weeks at that time and worked every day of the week (grand opening month) and I checked every day and there certainly wasn't jobs posted that she did, so I'm thinking they call some people. I don't know why they want her so badly because last time I was there, she walked around for 2 hours waiting for some frozen food to thaw. Not complaining though, I certainly don't want to take jobs away from someone who needs the money enough to ask someone not to book.

What was really odd to me was that I saw an MC person working at a regular Target and I went up to say hi and told her I did the same and I'd never seen any jobs for regular Target before. She asked me if I booked online and I said yes, and she said see, I don't, and they don't come up very often. She was wearing a visor instead of a hat and no hairnet (and doing food), which kinda got to me, but whatever.

Saturday I had company with another MC rep doing the fabric softener. She was from New Hampshire; drove 3+ hrs & staying at grandmothers. I guess its common for us people to steal Cape Cod jobs then. lol

She works for MANY other demo companies. And was saying MC is her LOWEST paying company. Makes up to $35 / hr doing some events. She does alot of alcohol events at clubs/stores/nascar & makeup events. Often gets jobs off Craigslist.

One was http://www.encorenationwide.com/. Also does food events.
Another good one was http://www.promosynthesis.com/

She's been doing just events for a few years. Supports herself & 2 kids. Claims everything on taxes since she's "self-employed".

I signed up for both of these companies and heard right back from Encore Nationwide. They sent me log in info but it does not work. I sent them an e-mail about it. Promosynthesis sent me an e-mail about an event at the Wide World of Sports on Sunday. (Seems like they get in touch with you.) It was 4:30am-12pm and for the manager duties paid $20/hour plus $80 for setting up a tent (I think it was for Ford) and sending in results. The helper position paid $15/hour. So $30 and hour is pretty good! I already had plans or may have done it.

Yep, I was told by the TMT people that the store assignments vary by location. In my area, SPi doesn't handle Target, so I was never going to see any on the Staying Connected site. Now that TMT has also assigned me a login, Targets show up for me on the Staying Connected site when I use the login they gave me. It all depends on which agency has which stores in your area. NCiM just emailed me they desperately need people in grocery stores. Does anyone know what they pay?

I just got a call from MCG (Marketing Connect Group) they offered me a demo next Sunday at a Bed Bath & Beyond. I'd be making smoothies in a blender that BB&B would supply. She told me it is $13 per hour. Does anyone have any feedback on them? They only pay once per month on the 15th. It is scheduled from 12-4. They give me a a visa GC to go & buy supplies with & set up time within the 12-4 shift. So, she said that my demo can run 2-3 hours. It sounded interesting...
