I haven't seen any for January yet when I've looked, but it's still weeks away - and a different year, of course - so I'd not expect much yet. The ones I picked up last weekend were only for 2 weeks away, so it could be another week or two before anything starts popping up here for January. I'm very optimistic, though, since it's a great area for demos!

I'll have done just over 50 by the time the year ends. That isn't bad (I'd like to see how many everyone has done, it would be interesting to get an idea of how many thousands of dollars we'd made!) I started in April, but only had 3 that month.
 
I've done 30 so far (since July) I have 5 more before the end of the year.... according to my last paystub I've made just under $2k... I guesstimate it'll be closer to $2500 by year end. :thumbsup2
 
Well it has been a LONG time since I posted on here... The events have been and continue to be scarse in Michigan.

I have two events booked from now until the end of the year (had a Dry wine event this friday but well it was cancelled by vendor DAMMIT!) and then one lowly event in January so far.

I have brought home about an xtra $1,995.00 after taxes from the last week in July through end of December (assuming of course my next two events go off without a hitch) this has been the first time all summer that I had 2-1/2 weekends off without sampling. I miss it.

I just got a weird e-mail from Taylor yesterday asking me to please submit a photograph of myself by the end of the month or else I can't book any events that require a photo... WTH does that mean? I sent her a picture of me at a fruity cherrios event (debating if I should send one from the kotex :) ). I also stated that I DO have a picture on the my profile tab in staying-connected. Quite odd, anyone know why the picture is needed? :confused3
 
I have just one more event for this year...so here are what I believe my totals will be at end of 2006.

34 events (and I can think of at LEAST 5 more that I passed on or cancelled)
Gross pay: $2014
Net pay: $1696

and $25 in Walmart gift cards as bonuses

Expenses:
a microwave about $50
about $5 for misc items at Dollar Store
about $5 to replace the apron I melted trying to iron it
$15 for a white shirt
....not to mention gas & tolls for a couple of events.

I still think its worth it. :thumbsup2 Thanks C.Ann for starting this thread!
 

I called the ABC Liquors where my wine label event is and they have a table I can use. Good-one less thing to carry:)

OK I am going into Whoop A%% mode, I have not been paid for any event since 11/02!!! I have not been paid for like 11 events. Oh boy they knew exactly when to stick it too me right before Christmas :sad2: !! And ofcourse my new contact is not answering emails. I guess I will be on the telephone tommorrow!!!

Just looked this morning and FINALLY events all over the state. Of course most are too far to go to. Too bad I'm not seeing my sister or parents in their cities on those date or I'd book there also. And I wish they'd schedule all the ones in Wichita on different dates so I could do more than one! :rolleyes:

Anyone have any idea what that might be?! Googled it and looks like supplements or a book by that guy on Oprah?! :confused3

Bunch of 1/5 events came up but nothing near me, besides that is a Friday which isn't good for me.

My 11/17-11/18 event check just came up on ADP so I'm expecting it in the mail this weekend.
 
TMT called me today (they called for DH yesterday, you think they could coordinate this better LOL), they want me to come in to their office for training on Tues at 10 am, or Wed at 2 pm, or Wed at 7pm for NEXT week! ... all times that do NOT work for DH and I.
Training last only 30 to 45 minutes, they pay you for an hour to compensate for travel.

Something about changes on how they do demos at Target and more info on Tassimo.

I kinda laughed and told her I have already done two Tassimo events (plus helped DH get his ready), what more could I learn about doing that demo?

Why do they wait until the last minute for these things?
I told her- no can do.. but we have time available after the holidays, she kinda hmmed and haaaed, "you couldn't come in just for 30 minutes?" , NO!, told me she would talk to Brigid and get back to me. :confused3

I almost want to cancel the Tassimo event all together, need the money but don't need them bugging me either.

DH is student teaching, works after school tutoring and has dialysis on Monday ,Wednesday, Friday. We have ONE car only, DH has it all day.
I told her that it was unreasonable to expect attendance with less than a week's notice.

Do you think I will get fired? :rotfl:

Her's a snippet of an email about the training, didn't see it until today. Sent around 1 pm on Wednesday (yesterday):
Our records indicate that you are scheduled to execute the upcoming Tassimo event on 12/17 at Target. Recently, additional information regarding the Target demo program has been brought to our attention. Each and every Event Personnel conducting events in Target stores, specifically for the Tassimo program, must be made aware of some important information regarding the Target event program!! In order to clearly and effectively communicate this information we are inviting you into our office for a “training session”! Please see below for a list of training times and respond no later than Friday, 12/8/06 at 12pm, CST with the time/date in which you will be attending.
Please note: This training is mandatory, and will be paid.
 
Poor Daniel. He keeps sending out emails of lists of jobs available in MA. Got another one last night.

Now, he just sent another almost "begging" for people to sign up for Tassimo 12/17...saying he'll pay ANOTHER $8 - $10 ON TOP of what you'll already being paid. Says the events are REALLY important. Last wk he was offering gas $.

There are soooooo many of those not booked this time around....it just confirms that other demo peeps feel the same way about not wanting to be in the stores this close to Christmas.

I've got Suave / Lipton tea this Sat at Kmart....and trying to convince myself that the HBA & food area of the store won't be tooooo bad. :rotfl:

Handing out free tea hopefully won't be as nuts as handing out free hot chocolate / coffee/ ....... just before Xmas.
 
The wine label event went ok. They had me come in at 4pm and no one knew I was supposed to be there except the guy I spoke to that morning about the table. I had even gone in last week to introduce myself to one of the managers and he looked at me like I had fallen from the sky-lol. They were doing a wine tasting for their 70th anniversary so the store was dead until that started at 6pm. Then I got busy. People bought about 4-5 bottles of the wine and I did a few labels. Most liked the idea but had their own favorite wine they were buying already. Oh well $110 for 4 hours was great!
 
I've downloaded the Store Report Form for my first event, Tassimo, and the background color is red with white text. When I print it, it looks terrible. You can barely read the words on top of the red background. I changed my printer from color to black & white and it prints a black background with white text and looks worse. From MC it's a Wordpad document and I save it that way, but can't find anyway in Wordpad to change the background color. The only option I see when downloading the form is save to WordPad or All Files. Does anybody have any ideas how to get the background color from red to white? Thanks for your help.
 
I just unbooked for Sat. I've been having migraines all week. Just can't deal with an event on top of other stuff I've fallen behind on.

I've never seen this issue myself, but they aren't Wordpad files but Word.. most personal PC's don't have MSOffice so I just downloaded the free Word viewer from Microsoft.com. I used to download & save the files, but found there was really no need, so I just open (instead of save) using the Word Viewer & print.
 
They told me to download ?something? to fix the problem. I think it was Microsoft Word Viewer. E-mail your contact and ask for a link.
 
Boy do I have a busy weekend, I'm doing 3 events. They must be having trouble getting people to sign up for some events. My wine event was rescheduled. :sad1:

Anyone know how to say Keurig? I'm doing the Chocolove on Sunday anyone do this one yet how does it taste? I'm afraid I'll like it and poof no product to demo! :rotfl:

SplshMtn99 I hope your migranes go away. Knock on wood I haven't had a whopper for a while.
