Want to do Atlantis on your own? We did it!

Do you have any pictures from your excersion to the Atlantis pools? I have heard that there is alot of walking and that the resort is big. It would be helpful to see some photos if anyone has any.

I don't have any pictures of the pools but here are a few of the slides, beach and aquarium.

Thank you so much for the detailed report! I was just explaining the Comfort Suites option to DH today and he was all for it. When I went to the COmfort Suites website, I got a rate of $251 for my date (4/27/09), I even clicked any possible disounted options and it still displayed $251. How did you get that great rate, if you do not mind me asking?

Another cruiser from the 9/1/08 Magic says thank you for the information! There will be 3 of us heading over to CS on Nassau morning!

Thanks for the report. We just might do this on our next trip too. Great details.

Do the kids need a card to get an Atlantis wristband? We are a party of 4 adults and one 5 yr old., and have booked 2 rooms because of the 4 per room limit. But, if we check in/out at the same time - and our 5 yr old doesn't need a paid card to get a wristband, do you think we could get away with one room?

Thanks so much! We leave August 3! :goodvibes

I'm almost certain it's either 3 or 4 and under that doesn't require a wristband, hopefully someone else here can confirm the age limit.

Thanks for the post!

I found the rate for $135 online on the day we will be there. However, it says nothing about Atlantis being included. Is it always included?

Thank you for the awesome info!!

Just a few questions...

When you book your CS room and specify how many people will be in that room, is that what determines how many passes to Atlantis you will get when you check in/out?

Also, Im assuming you need to bring your own towel?

Would there be enough time to do Atlantis plus do some shopping like at the straw market and area and still have time to make it back to the ship without being rushed?

And lastly, aside from the water slide park, can you use the beaches and any other facility on site?

Thanks again for this awesome tip! :thumbsup2

This is on the front page of their website, I also just answered one of my own questions... :lmao:

From the CS website front page:

"Located adjacent to the Atlantis Paradise Island, guests of Comfort Suites Paradise Island can enjoy full use of all their facilities, including swimming pools, private beach, magnificent waterscapes, Lazy River Ride, water slides, health spa, tennis, and Kids Camp. Guests also have full signing privileges at Atlantis' restaurants and lounges."

What is their web site (or the one you found the 135. rate which I realize is seasonal and may not be available for my date)? Every site I have found show 157.-269. for my time (October 08). Would love to find a special for less.

If I recall, they give you one wristband for each person on the reservation.

You get towels at the towel hut at Atlantis (same place you get your wristbands).

You can easily spend all day at Atlantis, especially with the addition of aquaventure, but the first time we went (pre-aquaventure) we didn't get to CS until noon because we wanted to do a bit of shopping in town and even with about 4 hours at Atlantis we had a great time.

Booking a room at CS gives you full access to the pools/slides/beach and aqaurium.

Book now but keep checking the rate, it could very well drop as it gets closer to October. We've booked twice in October for early Dec trips and both times the rates dropped in November.

I am having trouble! DH just called to book and they said it is a 2-night minimum. How do you go about booking for 1 night?

Everywhere that I have checked online, it will not even give me rates unless it includes a 2-night stay, expedia, travelocity, comfortsuites.com. I am trying for Aug 19 2008, 2 adults and 2 kids ages 4 and 8.

I booked my room through Orbitz and used a 30% off code and got my room for about $100.00
