I have never used my points for a cruise, so I'm in the dark here.
I have a few question.
1) Do I pay the $95 non-refundable transaction fee at booking.
At the time of booking. As erionm said, you will also pay another $95 fee if you make any major changes the booking. These include changing the sail date and/or changing the category of your stateroom so make sure you know exactly what cruise you want to take and what category room you want before you book.
2) Do I have to pre pay any dues if banking points.
No.
3) Is transportation included with cost of trip or
travel insurance.
Neither is included.
4) Is a Members cruise less points or more.
More points, but the cost includes gratuities. The suggested amount for these is $12 per person per day and they cover your dining room servers and stateroom host/hostess. On non-Member cruises the suggested amount will be charged to your on-board account on the day you board (if they have not been pre-paid). You can go to Guest Services to adjust the amounts, or you can simply put extra cash in the envelope if you feel the service warranted it.
5) Will I need a credit card for charge things or can I pre pay.
You do not need a credit card, however the ship is run with a cashless system. This means that you will use your Key to the World card for all purchases. If you opt not to attach a credit card to your account you have a few options for payment...
- On Board Credit - You can add on board credit to your account before you sail via a credit card or Disney gift cards.
- Cash Account - You can also set your account up as a Cash Account. This means that you will have a credit line of a few hundred dollars. Once your account gets to that amount you will be expected to pay it off. You will then be able to charge again, until you get to the limit. You can pay off your balance with a credit card, debit card, Disney gift cards, Disney Visa reward dollars, traveler's checks or cash.
6) Are there any other fees that are due at the time of booking, besides the $95 non-refundable transaction fee.
Some cruisers have reported that gratuities were added at the time they made the reservation. When you book, ask if the total price includes gratuities. If it does, you will be all set once you sail. If not you will need to either add them at that time or pay them during your cruise.
I know I'm forgetting something, but I can't think of it right now

, please help. TIA
