Want do you think our chances would be AKV in March?

I know that is spring break time for some. We would like the full week there. We could start xxxxx. We are wanting that week so no school is missed, the week is set. I am hoping a diser was trying for that time frame last year and remembers what was left. I can either rent from another with that home or use someone another points saving $450 but have to wait 7 month window. curious if you think it would be available? Thank you.

I edited your post to remove details as dates, specific rooms, etc. are not allowed here. Only general questions.

At this point, you are well beyond the 11 month window and almost to the 7 month window.

I think I would decide how much that savings is worth to you to try now. AKV is a really big resort, given rooms at both Jambo and Kidani.

I think if you have someone call right at the 7 month mark, most people have good luck getting what they want. Of course, the values and concierge rooms go right at 11 months but most everything else seems to have good availability.

I know I got an AKV room at just 3 months out for Memorial Day weekend last year.

I think you will have a good shot as long as you are not picky about view. We did a split stay over Thanksgiving. We wanted the last 4 days, including Thanksgiving there. We wanted a standard view to conserve points. Could have gotten savanna view, but WL standard. Got it in a week. When we went the last week in March a couple of years ago we had our pick of a bunch of resorts. Good luck!

If you are looking at a value I'd say no chance if you want a standard or a savannah view at Kidani I'd say if you move now you have every chance. Still a good chance at 7 months but if you wait until then move fast

We had closed on our resale and when I booked the last week of march 2013 I had no problem with animal kingdom; however we stayed in a 1 bedroom savannah view...

We are going again this October and I am finding October much more difficult to book...

I even checked a week or so ago and you could have booked Saratoga springs,for the 4th of July

I think October is tougher because of F&W, nice weather, low points, and some schools are out for fall break. At least those are all the reasons we are going in October.

For any time in March or April, including the Easter weeks, you will easily be able to get AKV savanna or standard view at either building at 7 months out. Value and concierge are likely to be gone.

Unless things have changed a great deal, you should be able to get a week at Kidani during your spring break. Several years ago, I donated points to our school auction, and the person who "won" the auction wanted to go during our spring break. The auction was in February, and spring break was in March (because it is a Catholic school, and the Archdiocese doesn't allow spring break to occur during the week before or the week after Easter, it wasn't during Easter week). I was able to book a studio for the family, although I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to do so. The only time I was unable to book a room at AKL Kidani was when my brother decided he wanted to join us in December, the week before Christmas (about Dec 18-23 or so). There were no openings at any DVC resort at that particular time.
