Want a Disney living room!

Hi everyone,
I'm brand new to this forum. My wife and I would like to design a "Disney living room" in our house by locating 'large' Disney artifacts, whether they be plush, ceramic, or other materials. We have a 2-story room, so ideally we were looking to find large Disney pieces that could suspend from the ceiling (anyone seen Mickey in a balloon?) or large pieces for large walls. We've come up 'dry' in our search and thought that maybe someone here might know where we could wrangle up some Disney items that would go in our room. We currently have about 150 of the small Disney 'beanies', so we are now looking for bigger things.

Scott welcome to the DIS. As for the large Disney items. You may want to check ebay. I have seen a lot of Disney Store items for sale on there. And those where some rather large items

You might want to contact www.mousesurplus.com or www.surpluskingdom.net to discuss availability. Both of these buy large items from Disneyt as well as hotel furnishings when rehabs are done. They will both sell on eBay, but they also have real stores.

You can order park items direct from disney also. I don't have the merchandiing info. But maybe someone else does. You could always buy big figs (figurines). I think they my even sell some through disneyshopping.com.

I have also seen the Disney Store items for sale on eBay, but that was some time ago, when Disney Austions was still up and running.

OP, you might have to be creative. Like: Buy a large Mickey plush (I have a Maxi Mouse = Minnie Mouse that is almost as large as an average person!) and make yourself a "hot-air"balloon with Mickey in it, to hang from your ceiling. Or an airplane, and a Mickey in it... (When my grandfather was waaaaaayyyyy younger, he made him a real on-scale air plane, very very detailed out of soup cans!!!!!)
