We will be visiting DLR July 12-17. It's been a long time since we've gone during high season, and I am super excited, but I want to make sure I'm not trying to do too much. Tell me if this is reasonable.

Keep in mind we have three adults, one 47" six-year-old, who will ride everything she is tall enough for, and one 36" two-year-old. This actually works out great because by using the baby swap and fastpass together, we can always have two pairs of fast passes for different attractions at the same time. :)

Thursday, July 12th
Very early flight. Shuttle to hotel. Check in at Park Vue or store luggage. DTD. Possibly Studio 365 for DD. Lunch at Goofy's Kitchen. Swim. Delivery from Von's. Early to bed for everyone.

Friday, July 13th
7:00 Quick free breakfast.
7:15 Line up.
8:00 Park opens.
Peter Pan
Dumbo
*Runner to ST and Space for fastpasses.*
Snow White/Pinnochio
Toad/Alice
Carousel
Teacups
Matterhorn
Storybookland/Train
*Runner to RR for fastpasses.*
IASW
Gadget's
Mickey's House
Minnie's House
RR
*Runner to Indy and BTMRR for fastpasses.*
*Leave DL.*
*Everyone enters DCA.*
*Everyone but runner leaves DCA and goes back to hotel.*
*Runner to ToT, Soarin', and WOC for fastpasses.*

What time do you think we will be done with the above by?

*Back to hotel. Lunch/swim/rest/nap.*
4:00 Up and ready.
5:00 Free dinner, then back to park.
*Runner to Autopia and ST for fastpasses.*
Pirate's Lair
Buzz Lightyear
Star Tours w/ fastpasses
Space w/ fastpasses
Autopia w/ fastpasses
Captain EO? Depending on wait time.
Nemo? Depending on wait time.
Indy w/ fastpasses
BTMRR w/ fastpasses

*Leave DL. Enter DCA.*
ToT w/ fastpasses
Soarin' w/ fastpasses
WOC w/ fastpasses

Depending on what show our WOC fastpasses are for, we could also do ToT and Soarin' after WOC. Any guesses what the two show times will be during high season in the middle of July?

Now that I've typed that all out, I'm wondering if it would be better to change this plan to a MM day? I hesitate because the last time we did Fantasyland during an MM, we didn't get much done. Maybe three rides. Maybe we just didn't time things well, but I remember feeling really not productive.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

I'd do Alice next, followed by the Matterhorn, Storybookland/Train and Teacups (can't remember about Toad's line. We aren't fans, so we've only ridden it once). the rest of Fantasyland will have shorter lines and aren't as crucial for that first hour

*Runner to Autopia and ST for fastpasses.* you may start getting close on ST FP availability. We did a similar time on a Sunday and ended up with 11:15 - 12:00 return time. If you get a late time, just rearrange the order below. I'd play several of these by ear, based on return time for WOC also. I'm not sure that you can accomplish all of this...
Pirate's Lair
Buzz Lightyear
Star Tours w/ fastpasses
Space w/ fastpasses
Autopia w/ fastpasses
Captain EO? Depending on wait time.
Nemo? Depending on wait time.
Indy w/ fastpasses
BTMRR w/ fastpasses

Wow, that is a busy first day! Will you be at the parks for 4 days? If so, you have time to slow down a bit and maybe see the parades or other shows. Is there a reason why you want to do WOC the first day? If the first day is heavily skewed towards DL rides, just wondering why you are planning on WOC. And everyone doesn't need to enter DCA to get WOC FPs. The tickets just need to be activated at either park and they can be used to get FPs.

You may or may not get that second set of ST FPs, it would not be unusual for them to run out by the evening.

I notice you have FPs for DCA rides, but not for the new Radiator Springs Racers in Carsland? Perhaps you were saving Carsland for a different day? Of course, RSR FPs will go quickly and may be gone by late morning. Just wondering what your plan was for Carsland?

I still think MM is valuable, but it will be busy during your visit. It would be unusual to only get to three rides, but stuff does happen.

For WOC, I would expect at least two shows and possibly a third. One around 8, one around 10, and perhaps another after 11pm. I don't think you can squeeze all those rides in before WOC.

Overall, a very ambitious first day! Perhaps you are park commandos and like that schedule, but I would plan on adding in some entertainment where possible. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Wow, great plan. We have never been able to stick to a plan...we tried one year and all "you-know-what" broke loose! :rotfl:

You can always fit bathroom breaks etc in between walking to rides. Remember with little ones you can get cold water (free) from baby center on Main Street in DLR...I do have one question...what about Carsland? are you going to check that out as well?

Have a great trip!:goodvibes

You mention on two occasions in your post that a runner was going to collect multiple FP (ST & SM - ToT & Soarin). You are only able to get one FP at a time for most rides. A few are disconnected as is FP for DL and DCA. You can collect a new FP eier two hours after you got the FP or after your posted return time...whichever comes first. I was not sure by your post if you were aware of this by your thread.
Here is some more info on FP: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=32518085&postcount=5

Wow, very detailed plan. The only thing to do now is plan for the unexpected! Be adaptable and have a great trip!

It seems my fam does better with more commando style at the beginning of our trip, and more just chilling out/characters/entertainment/shows/parades toward the end. This is also why I am thinking WOC on the first day. We tried for a later day last trip, and it kept getting put off, until our very last night, and then only half of us went.

We will be doing four days. We are planning on tackling Carsland on Day 2.

Since we will be utilizing baby swap and fastpasses, we actually can have fastpasses for two rides at the same time. It would be two fastpasses for the ride, and then the other two of us use the baby swap pass.

I don't know, seems pretty aggressive to me. The amount of things you want to accomplish before lunch, are what we usually accomplish in a whole day. But, I suppose it could work. You might get bogged down by lines for Alice, Matterhorn, Storybook, and Gadget's. I probably wouldn't bother to get Autopia FP's if you're going to ride that in the evening. The line drops significantly at night. Also, I wouldn't count on the Park Vue dinner to satisfy...the one time we tried it, it was just Chicken Noodle Soup and Mac n Cheese. Oh, and some not so great looking salad. Breakfast there is good, though!

*Leave DL.*
*Everyone enters DCA.*
*Everyone but runner leaves DCA and goes back to hotel.*

If your intentions of entering DCA is to activate your tickets, I believe that once you enter DLR your tickets will be activated for both parks. So only the fp runner needs to enter DCA while the rest of your fam can head back to the hotel.
