I know there are a few rides that require you to put all your belongings in a locker.. Couple of questions:

1) Which rides will insist you lock up everything (phone, etc)??

2) If we purchase one of those magic wand thingys, will the wand fit in the provided lockers??

Thank you!!

The rides where you must stow everything:
Rip Ride Rocket (Studios)
Dragon Challenge (Islands)
Hulk (Islands)

There are some rides where you must store things that don't fit in pockets as well.
IoA:
Forbidden Journey

Studios:
The Mummy
Men in Black

I THINK that's it, but I'm going from the top of my head, sorry if I missed any.

Yes, the wands do fit in the lockers. The only wand we had trouble with was the longest non-character wand. It fit in the lockers at an angle, and it did fit (at an angle) in the box, but the box got a little smooshed on the corners (cosmetic damage.) It wasn't a big deal, but it was like playing Jenga a few times with 3 wands and boxes, a backpack, a waist bag, and a refillable mug.

The wands fit but the boxes were a pain. As we were staying on site, I just went back to Ollivanders after shoving the boxes in at Gringotts and asked them to send the boxes to the hotel for us. So much better than carrying those all day! I think day guests can have packages sent to the front of the park to hold.
Lockers are no biggie. Just send one person from your group though so you don't add to the throngs. :)

I have to say many people on here stressed me out with their horrors stories about the lockers and wands but it is really no big deal at all.

We went during spring break last year ~ very busy~ but there were plenty of lockers near the ride we wanted to go on, no back ups and the wand and box fit all the lockers just fine.

So don't worry everything is seamless for the most part.

Add Escape from Gringott's at Studios, and you've got them all covered.

you are correct!

day guests in the park can have any purchase sent to the front of the park and held for them.
you are given a claim check and DO NOT lose it .....
also need an id besides the claim check.

one time i lost my claim ticket.
not worth it.
had to give them the store and time i made the purchase, show my photo id, room key, and describe the merch i had bought

packages are picked up regularly and taken to the store in the front of the park.
you need to give it at least one hour before the package will be in the front store and checked in officially.

if you wait until park closing to pick up your packages, there will be long waits.
i was stupid one year and had my package held in the front store as i was checking out of the hotel the next day.
my wait was over one hour to get my package.

hotel guests can have any and all purchases sent to their hotel room as long as they are not checking out the next day.
deliveries are done the next day.
your packages will be left in your room automatically sometime that next day.

How much is it to rent these lockers each time you ride one of these rides? Thanks

I wish we knew this. Very good advice.

We could not get one of our wand boxes to fit in the lockers outside Escape from Gringotts. We tried everything to get it to fit. (Our other 2 fit fine in their boxes and the third fit fine out of it's box.) We ended up not riding that night (it was our first day) and got plenty of chances later in our trip.

What we try to do if we are staying onsite is to go wand-free most of the day, then we return in the evening with the wands to focus on wand activities. Then we only end up stowing the wands a few times.

I think we even timed our wand-buying with a return to our room (after using them for a bit), so we only stowed the boxes once or twice.

The third thing I'll mention is that if you do decide to leave behind the boxes- or have them sent to the front of the park- make sure to extract at least one map out of the box before you send it off! At least until you know all the locations. They aren't all that hard to find, but having the map is a real plus! Be especially certain to use your map in Knockturn Alley!

Last, please pay attention when using the lockers, and try to keep things moving. Know your locker number and please try to MOVE out of the way of the screen as soon as you have finished entering your information so the person behind you can start. There's no need to BLOCK the screen while you're putting your stuff in a locker. As soon as you have a locker assigned to you, or have re-opened your locker, the next person can start. Oh, and generally speaking it REALLY helps if you only send ONE person to the lockers. Some of them get a bit congested.
