I just love the wandering jew plants. Beautiful deep green leaves with that variegated plum/purple stripe. Just gorgeous! However no matter how I try I keep killing mine! I water them 1x weekly, plenty of sun in my bright sunroom, I even talk nicely and sing because as much as some say its an ol' wives tale my great grandma swears plants love to be chattered to. Not my wandering jews....poor thing is just withered away! Can anyone help me??? This is the only house plant I cant seem to keep and prosper

P.S. I mist it oftn too!

Welcome to the F & G board, Iott Family! :flower3:

I have very few houseplants, and perhaps it's my talking and singing to them that kills them off! ;) :)

Check out the following link, Iott Family, it includes tips on growing Tradescantias, also a Troubleshooting section. Hopefully you'll find some info that helps you out. :)

Anyone out there that can offer Iott Family more advice? :)

How large is the pot? If it is small, maybe watering once a week is not enough. Does it just linger for awhile and then die, or is the dying immediate, within a month or two?

Good luck!

I haven't had one for a long time but I seem to remember no misting they like
african violets don't like their leaves wet. Try repotting it with new dirt and keep the dirt evenly moist. Hope it lives they are beautiful plant.
