I find this so unbelievably offensive. Do you recall that people DIED trying to achieve their freedom leaving an oppressive government? This is tantamount to saying getting rid of Eisner was like getting rid of Pol Pot.

I think Pedro was making a tongue-in-cheek comment about the symbolism and such of the wand coming down vs. the wall coming down.

I don't think he was comparing the wand to the wall. While oversized and oppressive in it's own way, the wand didn't hold an entire nation against their will within it's borders.

Life is short, so why get so easily offended? I think it was pretty obvious that the above poster was purposely exaggerating the importance of the wand coming down. I've heard others jokingly state, "Eisner tear down that wand". I very much doubt that Pedro 2112 was trying to belittle the deaths of people fighting for freedom.

I just hate it when people look for reason to be offended. If you were truly offended by this insignificant comment, I can't imagine how you function in the real world. You must walk around all day getting offended by comments made by others. You must be unable to watch TV or listen to the radio. Honestly think about it and ask yourself if this comment really bothered you that much.

Do you truly believe it was the posters intention to belittle the death of others?

As far as the topic, I don't really care either way. The wand was a little tacky, but it didn't really bother me.

Sorry...I have to disagree...they never should have put it up in the first place. SSE looked great back in the day before the wand and now it will look great again. Now they just need to do something with the hat at MGM.
