WALT's WARRIORS (team7) Jan. 09 thread.

Michelle, there will be no DL 1/2 this year. Probably 2010!!!

Tracy

Looks like the "team" miles will start in February. I have kept track so far. But the team rosters and spreadsheets will start in the beginning of Feb.

We are doing a team thread for each month and will put totals for the teams on the first page of that thread.

I've been working on another little logo for our team.

Tracy

Hi Warriors!
Tracy loved your pics. Ooooh and the bling!

I'm a bit undecided on the team thing this time around. So much going on in life. I'd love to stay a Warrior, once a Warrior always a Warrior. I don't know I'd be improving much on my reporting. It has been sparse, but if nothing else, I'd love to at least pop in here to cheer everyone along. You are all doing great!

Tracy - Thanks so much fo ryour help this month!!! EVen if it might not end up counting, if it helped anyone stay motivated durign this really rough time of the year, then you did a great thing! COngrats on your PR!!!

OK, Here's my spin on this. I see the teams as a way of staying accountable and encouraging othe rin a smaller format so that we can keep up. I'd love to "win", but even more important is helping us all stay motivated. So, I don't cae if all you can do is hobble 1/100th of a mile fro 10 min 3 times a week, I want you here! :goodvibes :goodvibes

NOw, as for reporting, we are only doing monthly totals. HOwever, we are reportign here every day, right?

Would you be offended if I asked you to also report your monthly totals so that it doesn't have to be summed up by some one? If this makes it too hard for anyone, I have no problem doing it, but itf you have it in a format that it will give your totals, it would free up a lot of time ofr me or whoever was helpign this week. Just let em knwo what you think. It's b no means a deal breaker.

I did 6 miles in 66 min Saturday. Scheduled fro swimmming and yoga tonight. I'm gonaa' sleep well. :p

I am still here. Just was not posting because I thought we were starting in Febuary. I have not meant to be rude. Sorry if I have come across as snooty I would still like to partcipate. I have been busy dealing with my youngest we are trying to get her use to some new medicne and it has been rough. I would love to continue to be a Warrior. PPPPPLLLLEEEAAAASSSSEEEE:)

Tracy - Thanks so much for your help!!!! BTW, 3disney kids is Erika, Roxy is Roxanne, Tink06 is Stacey and Grumpy is Jeff.

I did 0.56 miles of swim lst night in 30 min adn 60 min of yoga. Very tieed afterward. Luckily, too tired to pig out, even though I was starved. Swimming makes me sooo hungry!

Tracy - I'm ging to go post this on the team thread. It's been long enough, that I thinkik those that have not responded aren't interested. They can always be added later. Thatnks again for pitching in at the hardest tiem of teh eyar for me!!!

Carrie meeting you and your hubby Scott was awesome that was the best marathon ever. You guys are great and so caring. I enjoyed you pointing out fellow wishers and knowing their names that was the best. Glad you all had a great time. Hope to see you next year. Once again thank you for making the marathon so awesome.:)

Tracy and Carrie- i'm still fine with summing up my monthly totals so really no-one needs to track my mileage when i post.

Went for a run outside for the first time in ages- 5 miles 47 mins and 10 stretchy. Leg felt ok, blisters under my feet tho. One day it'll all come together right? :rotfl:

Roxy glad to see you're sticking with us!

Hey Guys!!!

Just a quick check in.

I did 6.4 miles of bridge climbing/running yesterday & 35 miles on the bike today. I'll post a monthly total at the end on the month.

SLowly getting back into the Post-Goofy groove and building the miles back up.

Tracy - Nice photos from the ING in Miami. I DID notice that the bling was in Florida Gators colors also. Good Taste Reigns Supreme!

Not sure if we want the "Pointing the way........" or what??

Tracy

Very cute Tracy! Maybe shorten the phrase to just "One Mouse Step at a Time." I dunno... But I do like the new graphic!

I too can post a monthly total even though I will still keep posting by workout. Just my way of keeping my self accountable...

5 horrible miles for me tonight in 1:12. My whole body revolted and said no way are we doing this tonight! It's not like I'm injured, but my right leg kept giving out :confused3 , my left calf was just one big knot:crazy2: and every time I told my self to suck it up and go, I would go barely a few feet before completely being unable to breath.:sad2:

So that's it...NO MORE RUNNING FOR ME!

(at least until tomorrow!) :lmao: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Wow, MIchelle, I see by your sig that you are going Goofy in 2010!! That is crazy!!:rotfl2: :rotfl: hehe

Sorry about the stonker run. Just walk some if you need to.

Thanks about the graphic. So what do you think with the saying, "Getting it done, one mouse step at a time."?????

Tracy

Today was kind of a XT day for me. We started our new Marine Rescue training. I swam about 700 yards in addition to other fun stuff.

Ever had to tread water holding a folding metal chair over your head??

Hey team, I'll do my best to keep up the miles this year. First time on a team, and I don't want to disappoint.

Hmm, I gotta get Mushu over here.

Since WDW. Last week 6 miles (60 min) Tuesday, 6 miles (60 min) Thursday, 8 miles (75 min) Sunday. This week so far 8 1/4 miles (75 mins) on Tuesday. Same tomorrow.

Happy training folks, fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the ride!

Welcome Jeff!! :wave2:

Jim, need to work on treading in the water much less with a chair over my head. Maybe that could count as double??:rotfl:

I think we will have another new member that Susie (escape) is bringing to us.

Hey Roxy...

We will be start a new thread for the team every month. We will keep a monthly total on the first page of that thread.

Carrie, do you want me to start the new thread for February??
Also, I think Carrie mentioned that you are more than welcome to give out your daily or weekly times and miles, but if you could keep track for yourself that would work out. If you need help with it let us know.

Have a great Thursday everyone, seeing the podiatrist today.

**What abou the new Walt's Warrior avatar?? DO we want to change the saying or what??**

Tracy
