WALT's WARRIORS (team7) Jan. 09 thread.

He he he i'm back! Well went to the gym- aimed for 7 miles but new orthotics were burning so managed 5 on TM then other 2.5 on cross trainer- all together 7.5miles 75 mins (with 10 extra stretchy mins included). Ok, it's not time to panic yet, it's NOT time to panic yet! :rotfl:

Also did core workout last night for 15mins.

Kate: I beleive any outdoor activity that you are doing can count. Like miles and time. Yes, Charley horse is the name for a massive cramp that you get all of the sudden. I rolled over to turn off the alarm and BAM - it hit me!! I was screaming!! All better today after my massage yesterday! Where are you staying during Princess, who's coming with you and how long are you staying?
I haven't figured out where I'm staying yet as I'm going solo.

AFM: I did 6 miles today 1hour 30min, add on 10min cool down & stretching.

I was just looking over the list and looking to see who has been posting the last two months or so. I think sometime at the end of the month Carrie is supposed to give a list of those that are staying on their teams and the people that are left in their teams.

From what I can see these are the Warriors that haven't posted in awhile:

TXBELLE
AKASLEEPINGBEAUTY
FANOFSMALLWORLD
GRUMPY IN NY
GSU1988
MOUSE SKYWALKER
PANTHERGIRL
POSTEF
TIGERLILY
TINK06

So, right now there is about 7 people posting for the Warriors.

Keep up the good work everyone and stay safe and healthy.

Hey Warriors! Lots of miles to report!

I am finally getting over my sorrow of not being able to get to WDW for the Half. But I have been logging my miles:

1/9 = 4 miles, plus stretch = 50 minutes

1/11 = HUGE day in honor of those doing the Full:
--2 mile run (with my 7 year old daughter!)
--2 mile snowshoe trek
--26.2 mile bike
--Time = 2:30

1/12 = 9 mile run plus stretch - 2:00

1/13 = 2 miles elliptical - 45 minutes

1/14 = 14 mile bike + strength & core - 90 min

1/15 = 5 mile run
--10 mile bike
--core & strength work - 2 hours total

1/16 = 2 mile run
--aerobics & strength training - 1 hour total

1/17 = 30 minutes strength

1/18 = 2 mile snowshoe trek + srength & core = 1 hour total

Phew! That has me caught up!

WOW that's alot of miles and WONDERFUL for you!!!:thumbsup2

Not sure if you all realize, and I am now because I am helping to keep track of miles for the team, but the weeks go from Saturday to Friday. So I would say either to post your miles and times each day or you can post them all on Friday. This way it makes it easier to keep track of them and separate them.

I am not sure if this will be the way it is in the future, but for now would save my sanity.

THanks - you guys are awesome!!:cheer2:

Go WARRIORS!!

2 mile snowshoe trek

You, my dear, are a much better person than I!!!!

Why just yesterday I used temps in the low 40's as an excuse to be a lazy butt & stay indoors & you are outside in the freakin' SNOW?????

Very happy to hear that your cramp hasn't had any lasting ouchiness! Equally thrilled i get to add those miles and mins.
I'm staying at POFQ with my parents, arriving 6th March and I leave on 14th March whilst my parents stay out for a week at CSR. I'm going to hate leaving early, but have work commitments.

Lots of miles to report!

Erika you weren't joking were you!?!?! Blimey that's great work :cheer2:

Tracy is it alright with you if i still post after my day's activity as it makes me feel more accountable to you guys? I'll then post my week totals on fridays as well so you don't have to add them up!
Please stay sane- i'm happy to have a shot next month if your :upsidedow

Wahoo for no leg/hip issues, that's a big relief and a BIG run. Great work

Hey there Wonderful Warriors!

Jim! I am :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: and your comments about snowshoeing! It is a wonderful sport! There are some snowshoe 5ks that have caught my eye, so I am looking into those. :cool1:

And if you *really* want to be freaked out...I did a 3 mile run last week when it was 5 degrees out. Yes, FIVE. UnderArmour really is great stuff. Only my nose and cheeks got cold. (Kate, that is -15 celsius for you.)

--Today: 2.5 mile run (with all 3 kids in tow as it is a holiday! :scared: They did well considering. They are 6, 7, and 9. We took walk breaks and maintained a 12 mpm pace.)

Plus core and strength for 90 minutes total. I am hoping to still get in "my" miles tonight once my husband gets home and takes over the sproglets! :rotfl2:

Hi Warriors! I would love to still be on the team if you'll have me.

Completed my first 1/2 in Disney, and looking forward to the Princess 1/2.

Ah, I made it out for *my* run today since my earlier one was with all 3 kids in tow. 4.5 miles, plus stretching, etc. for 50 minutes total.

Stacey - I think Carrie would agree that if you want to stay on the team it would be fine. How about Grumpy in NY?? Just post your miles and time up to this point for January.

I think I will recommend that we total of for the month and not do a week by week thing. I think it's just too crazy. NOt that I can't do it, but think posting Monthly totals with the other teams would be easier.

GO over to the thread and give your opinions to Dave about what we want to do with the teams. I think he is looking for some help.

Tracy

3 miles on 1/17 in 33 minutes; 5.5 miles on Monday 1/19 in an eternity- maybe 65 minutes?

Took Pirate Harry- I miss the days he could ride for double digit miles with a bag of skittles and high hopes for seeing a puppy! Now he's talking trash "Go faster!" and demanding I weave around so he can attack mailboxes, signs, etc. with his sword (I know, probably shouldn't encourage that behavior but it bought me an extra mile or two!)

Just popping in for a quick Hello!!! If you were at marathon weekend I hope you had a wonderful time. Just wanted to leave somes mile to report from marathom weekend.
Jan10th 13.1 miles 2:17
Jan 11th 26.2 miles 4:57

Off for more training Austin half marathon in 3 weeks.

Tracy

Tracy- i'm more than happy to post my monthly totals as long as i'm allowed to bore you all with my staggering (:rotfl2: ) progress!

Here it comes....... ha ha. Today was my first TM with NO ITB pain!!!! Fingers crossed the inserts are doing their stuff. A snuffly 5.5 miles 50mins and 10 stretchy. Will do another 10 core minutes later. :cheer2:

Keep it up warriors pirate: (nearly looks like a warrior doesn't it? :rotfl: )

Oh, Kate I didn't mean it that way. Sure post your mile and times when you like on this (our) team thread, but for keeping track on the spreadsheet with all the teams it has it tracking it by the week from Saturday to Friday.
I think just comparing with the other teams, a monthly post would be good.

Tracy

Howdy Warriors!!!

Frak! It is flippin' COLD here today!! Ok, at least it is for ME! Wind chills down into the 30's all day.

I did manage to get 5 miles worth of interval training in today. I was going for 6, but my left knee started to ache & tighten up, which is a NEW pain for me.

Oh Joy & Bliss. This was my 1st post-Goofy run & other than the above, the legs felt great!

Working towards the National Breast Cancer Marathon 1/2 in about 4 weeks. I would SO love to break 2 hours!

Hey Team!

Sorry you are having trouble with the "cold" Jim. :goodvibes UnderArmour! It really is worth the cost.

My miles and time for today:

Bike = 14 miles
Run = miles
+ core and stretch = 90 minutes

Under Armor - The Shirt of Truth!!

Bumps? Bulges? Belly Rolls? There Is No Hiding From Under Armor!!

I have some, but nothing suitable for cold weather biking.
