I'm late, but here's my totals that I'm missing...

19.25 miles and 132 min for the last week of Aug.

Sept: 42 miles and 12 hours, 46 min

I will update w/ Oct later. I have to update the info from my Garmin...

Hey Warriors..I haven't done much since Saturday..

10/14 3,5 miles about 50 minutes. Totally craptastic. Oh well. Shin is still bothering me somewhat, but is better than last week. I know I need new shoes. Anyone here wear the Asic Kayano's? I am a mild overpronator. I currently have the Asic GT2120's, I think the current model is the 2130. I love them, I just thought I might try something different. Or maybe I should just stick with whatworks.

Unfortunately I was laid off from my job today. I knew it was coming at some point this month or next, so mentally and financially I was prepared, but it still sucks.:sad2: The good news is the severance was what I expected, so I will be able to be at home through the holidays. Jobs are few and far between in my field around here and with the housing market such as it is, we're stuck. In january I will probably put my bachelor's degree back to use and go to work in a clinical lab, probably part time.

For now I can enjoy some quality time with DD and hopefully get some more workouts in. And since our TOT trip next weekend is pretty much paid for, we can still do that. AND no more annoying coirkers!!:woohoo: All her daycare teachers were so sad to see her go today. But it makes no sense to keep her there (and spend 800 dollars a month!) when I am not working.

Amy, I am sorry that you are going through this and glad that you are prepared. PD for all things going smoothly and that you get the best job after your holidays with DD.

Today was packing day and errands we have Disney Cruise and leave Friday!

Amy: SOrry to hear about the layoff even if you were prepared!! Take care and enjoy this time with family.

AFM: 4 miles today at MOunt Trashmore. 59min 32sec. 5 min cooldown.

I won't be posting miles until I get back on Sunday from WDW!!!!

Tracy

Catching up for several days...

Saturday = 3 miles plus core work for a total of 45 minutes
Sunday = 2 miles at 40 minutes (a walk with the kids)
Monday = off
Tuesday = 4 miles plus some strength and stretchig for 60 minutes
Today (Weds.) was a bigger day...2 mile run, followed by 16 miles on the bike, followed by another 2 mile run. Then added strength training plus stretching, etc. for a grand total of 20 miles and 2.5 hours.

Keep going Warriors!

Amy--more hugs to you!

Good evening Warriors! 2 miles and 30 minutes today.

Amy {{{Hugs}}} to you. I'm glad you can still take your WDW trip. That will do so much for your spirit. You have a great attitude and I wish you well in the days ahead.

Warriors, you amaze me!!!!!

Amy i'm so sorry about your job- but really massively impressed how prepared you were for it and very pleased you've got things to fall back on. Big silver lining that you can still go to tot and spend time with DD tho. I run in 2130s right now too, but struggling with all sorts of hip and thigh issues so might get reassessed too. Naughty shin!!!!

Quick 3.4miles on TM after uni today- i decided to try to push my speed up *** i always take longer for some reason- took 26mins! Add 10 stretching mins too.

Hey team!

KATE! Holy cow on your time for that 10k! BRILLIANT! :worship:

I had an awesome 7 mile run today. In the rain, no less, so go figure.

7.1 miles, plus cool down and stretching for a total of 85 minutes. (Though I did the run in an even 78 minutes...11-minute mile pace the entire time.) It was one of those runs where I felt like I could just keep going! I haven't had a good run like this since before my Half 3 weeks ago, so this was a great mental boost that I desparately needed!

Have a great week, Warriors!

~Erika

First of all thanks for all of the postive thoughts and support about my job situation. I am truly overwhelmed practically to tears (in a good way :goodvibes ) over the support I have gotten on here.

Tracy Have fun in Disney! Are you doing the richard petty deal? I did that awhile back. In my top 3 of best thrill things I have done.

Erika :woohoo: for your run! I love runs like that!

Kate I am going out for new shoes tomorrow. I am not totally convinced I need a new style/brand, just new shoes in general. I've had them since March. And your 10 K time..Holy crap!! :worship:

Miles 10/15-1.5, 30 minutes
10/16-2.5 walking with DD, 45 minutes
10/16 (part 2)-2.5 running on the dreadmill, 31 minutes

Have a good week everyone. We are flying out tomorrow a.m. and will be Disney Cruising, ToT, then back home. See everyone then. Happy training, happy events!

Hello Warriors!

I finally got in a run last night! I decided that I had to give it up and just let these blisters heal. The feet held up pretty good! :thumbsup2

I know I did 2.5 miles, but can't give you an exact time. I was doing time trials with my running group at the track. So we did a one mile warm up... stopped... stretched... one mile timed run... stopped... stretched... 1/2 mile cool down. We were there for over an hour, but I guess I can't really count all that time! But I did better my mile time! :woohoo:

Happy Friday Warriors!!!

Today I ran 6 miles in 57:00 & then did a mile of intervals in 12:00

3.5 miles today with lots of time at the gym afterwards. Total time - 85 minutes.

Erika thanks for the encouragement! Go you running an 'awesome' 7 miler. That's great that it was so enjoyable again and brilliant to see you cracking on with your gym time too.

Roxy i've just spied an 11.47 mile run in that massive bunch of runs, that's absolutely fantastic

Jim keep them coming! Intervals and 6 miles run- blimey

Michelle so pleased to hear that your blisters held up, altho be careful.

Lily have an great holiday and TOT- will be thinking of you.

Amy how did the shoe shopping go? I always go out thinking i'd like something different and end up with the same things! Hope you're still managing to keep that smile on your face despite everything

Barb you're doing so well- keep it up!

I got outside with my only pack of clif shot blocks that i bought after the minnie run. Managed 8.5miles in 75 mins which is my longest run for such a long time so was very happy. Only a bit of pain so i can cope with that. 10 solid mins of stretching with no rolling today. Big thumbs up for the bloks, i liked them and my stomach didn't hurt at all!

Go warriors go

KATE! Your times are great! Great job with the 8.5 mile run!

AMY--good luck on your race today! Can't wait for the report.

Lily, Amy and other ToTers--it is getting close! WOO HOO! Have fun on the taper!

Roxy--great times and miles, as always!

Barb--you are so dedicated! You always get out there no matter what! Go you!

Jim--you continue to be our very own IronMan! Great work-outs!

I had a lovely 4-miler today. With stretching and cool down, 45 minutes.

And my first ever tri is in just over two weeks! I am very excited and not at all nervous like I was for the Half last month. It is a mini-tri: 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike, and 5k. It will take me less time to finish that than in did the half, so I feel pretty good going in.

Have a great week-end everyone!

Hi Warriors, it's great to see everyone is doing well. I did 3 miles in 44:07 minutes. I blew off my last two workouts because I tweaked my knee and thought I should rest it. Today it felt pretty good during my 3 miles so maybe it helped.

Kate, I really appreciate your encouragement. I'm glad you had a good run today without too much pain. Yeah for the Clif shot blocks.

Erika, I have to be as dedicated as possible because I am old and have to work hard at being this slow. This will be my last WDW 1/2 and I want that new Donald medal! Wow, a mini-tri, good for you!!!!

Keep on keepin' on Warriors!

Barbara you're very deserving of every bit of encouragement!!!!

I had a night out with my old work colleagues last night and we danced practically solidly for 4 hours  then got up and took mum swimming this morning to try to help rehab her shoulder post surgery- got in 0.46miles of lengths too (30mins). Finally this afternoon went out with my (very shiny new) boyfriend for a walk and some hot choc- walked 2.5 miles quite leisurely pace (50mins). Now i'm ready for a weekend :lmao:

Hey Kate :wave2:

Ericka: Good luck on the Tri!!!

I was at WDW this weekend. I had my garmi on just for fun on Saturday and used it to count my walking time between attractions, walking from HS to EPCOT and around EPCOT. It was 7.52 miles and time was 3hr 16min of walking time.!!
(** HEY can this count??*)
I did 6 miles this morning around POP before heading out to DTD and then home!! Time was 1 hour 30 min.

Take care everyone!!
Tracy

Glad you had a great weekend, Tracy!

I got in a good 3.5 miles tonight. But I can't tell you my time as my iPod died! :headache: Oh well!
