Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Yesterday...first voyage on the new bike...15 miles (total of 60 minutes with some ab work)

Today - 7 miles, 75 minutes (1:15)

Hi Warriors...

Just a quick fly by.... nothing to really report on training - sorry. I've made a promise to myself, that whether things settle down or not - I'm going to make this happen.... So on Monday 6/16, I officially start training for the 1/2 in January, and to be the healthier, more active person I know I can be!

Happy training everyone! Thanks for being patient and very encouraging and inspirational!!!! :lovestruc

well done on setting yourself a start date Stacey- it makes such a difference knowing you're following a plan.

I really didn't feel like a run, but took myself out for 2.5miles (21mins) and did 20mins stretching as ive been sat in the house researching for my last essay(!!!!) and needed to move. Waiting eagerly for my garmin to arrive :hyper:

Happy Thursday Warriors!!!

We had a bunch of storms early this a.m., so the relative humidity was about 984% this morning when I ran, with temps about 86 degrees at 8:30 a.m..

I ran 4 without stopping and walked about 1.6 for a total of 5.6 in 68 minutes.

Kind of disappointing. Hopefully I'll do better tomorrow.

Roxy: Congrats on the Half Marathon!!

I did 3 miles after work in the sprinkling rain. 45min 7 sec.
I did a 4 min warm up walk and 4 min warmdown walk.

Hi everyone,

It's been a few weeks since I've been on. As Stacey has told you, things have been a little hectic around here.

I need to post for last week and this week, last week - 4 hrs, this week - 2 hrs. I know it's not much, but along with DW, Monday starts a new attitude!!!

And a roasty, toasty Friday to all my Warrior buddies!!

My planned workout this a.m. was rained out, but I managed to slog my way through an 8.25 mile run in 83 minutes this afternoon. Did I mention how hot & humid it now is in Sunny, Humid Florida?

My humid total for the week down here in the humid part of humid Florida was a total of 38 humid miles in 4 hours and 36 humid minutes.

Kind of a humid slack-off week that I am not very happy with. I will have to see what next humid week has in store. I have a 4 day long humid class in vehicle extrication next week that will get in the way of my humid workouts, but I have to try & work harder on my non-work humid days.

Oh, BTW, my run today (did I mention how humid it is down here ???) was a combination of run 4/walk 1 for the 1st hour, then I went to run 5/walk 1 for the rest.

BTW, It's really HUMID down here !!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I did 3.05 miles this morning in 43min 21 sec. with a 3 min warmup walk and a 3 min warmdown walk.

3miles for me, 26 mins and some much better music to keep me going (i've updated my ipod a bit!). Have my garmin 405 now and have to admit i'm totally baffled but also amazed by it. Just trying to workout how on earth to get my runners world programme to move over to my watch. Puzzling, but exciting :thumbsup2

Hope you're having a great weekend.

Last week total was appalling sorry- 99mins 4.5miles. :(

JimB
I just got back from a birthday party that was outside, under a shelter and all we did was sit there and it was so stinkin' humid that I sweated like I had run several miles. Yuck. So I sympathize with you on the humidity thing. I live in Palm Harbor.

Finally I have something to report!! I started back training this week and my totals are 12.1 miles and 3:40:27 total time which includes some swimming.

I want to thank all of you for the well wishes for my ear. I spent some quality time at an ENT's office, and I have most of my hearing back now.

I also signed up for the DL half marathon so I am really excited to have something to train for! ;)

Becky

Yeah Becky I hope to see you there also - has there been a WISH meet put together that you know of??

I got in a humid 7mile walk this morning. It was a hazy morning with temp around 83 degrees. Took me 1 hour 43 minutes and 32 seconds.
I did a 4 minute warmup walk and about a 3minute warmdown walk.

Have a nice Father's Day everyone!!!!

Friday = 90 minutes strength training
Sat = off
Sun = speed work plus strength training for 3 miles and 1:20

Thursday was C25K Week 1, Day 2...2 miles, 30 min
