Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Hi everyone. As Stacey told you, I have been under the weather since Friday. I wanted to let you know that I haven't posted all of my totals for the week. I did 5.6 miles, 90 minutes walking/running, and 75 minutes of other exercising. Sorry that I didn't get it to you earlier.

No problem Jeff! HOpe this means you are feeling better!

Everything's been updated adn I'm putting a link to the spreadsheet in the first post.

Woo hoo! Looks like we were #1 for miles last week!

Now now now, I know you all have heard the story of the hound and the hare or was that a turtle? Anyway you guys are due a lay down so we ain't scared.

Just saw a new rule on teh captains therad.

Organized race mileage counts double!

lol, Jim, looks liek this rest week will be just fine after all!

Oh my god, we're doing so well. Congratulations everyone, you've done brilliantly (i think we made our captain proud!)

Carrie, I've set up a log too so i can send you my totals every fri if it gets too much work. What happens tho if i run on friday? I can't work out which week that would fit into the one that week ends on or is it the first run of the following week. hmm.

This morning 3.1miles run (31 mins) and 5.4 miles on bike in 15mins (total 8.5 miles 46mins). Why can't we have wheels instead of feet- 15km would be so much easier!

Reporting in for the weekend: Usually when DD comes with me on her bike while I run, she is a great sport and is heckling me to go farther; not this weekend. Gave up after 1.5 miles. Can you say whiny? ;) DH conveniently had snuck out of the house so I couldn't just drop off grumpy! Didn't get out again. :guilty: There's always a new week though!

What's this about organized race mileage? I've been wavering on a 5k bridge run for Saturday- if it counts as 10k, that might be enough motivation...

Hi ya guys!!! So, we are doing Friday to Friday??? That is so confusing because my workout week runs Monday to Sunday... So, today is a new week for me. Last week---not so good...

Yesterday/Sunday, I did 3.6 miles and 50 minutes. So I guess that goes towards our new Week 2 challenge.

Tonight I plan to do some XT w/ some elliptical and biking.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Everyone is doing so great!!! Keep up the good work guys!

Stacie

Actually, I'm thinking it's Saturday to Friday. I know, it's off for me too. If it's too hard fro you, no biggie. A week is a week. One week will be shorter, one will be longer. It';; work out in teh end. If you are going to deviate, though, let me know what week you are counting your times/miles for when you post.

Just want to remind you, the purpose again. WHIle it's grat that Jim, Roxy adn Dave beefedup hours ours and miles substantially, I am thrilled that we have every memeber on this team. I don't care if we finish last if this game keeps us going and motiviated. It's working for me and I hope it is for everyone else too!

Just want to take a minute and welcome 1/2MarathonPixie (Barb) to our team!!! :cool1:

Let us know a little about yourself when you get a chance!

Carrie--I can report my daily, but I know it may be hard for you to keep up with that... I normally post in my journal on Mondays my totals for the previous week, which looks something like this...

Monday: Nothing--so lazy! Arrgh!
Tuesday: 30 min aquapilates, 30 min aquacise
Wednesday: 4 miles, 1 hour
Thursday: Zip
Friday: Zero
Saturday: Nothing yet again…sigh
Sunday: 3.6 walk/run, 50 min.

So, as you can see, my last week was not great, though for us, my Disney Park miles got counted.

I will be more than happy to post the above each Monday, but if it's too confusing, I can try to post on Friday or Saturday my total for this challenge.

Just let me know what is better for you!

Thanks!
Stacie

I got to the gym again this morning. I did 50 minutes and 2.74 miles (that includes my warm up & cool down). I should have exercised this weekend, but it just didn't happen. :sad2:

:welcome: Barb!

1 hour strength training with trainer. 10.20 mile run at 1:40. I am done for today. Hope everyone has a great week. :thumbsup2

Just a quick post to say that the double miles gave me a push and i've signed up for a local 5 mile run at the end of march eek.

Way to go Kate! I signed up for a 5k this weekend, although it's not as far as I should go. Not sure how we'll make up teh miles.

Heather - I'm just glad you are working out again! Weekends are tough. You'll get there.
Roxy - What do you mean your done? There's mroe time left in teh day? ;) :rotfl:

I just took a break and did a 20 min walk outside. I'm not real sure of the mileage, but I'm thinking it was about .5-.8 of a mile :confused3

Hi team, I'm jumping in late but I'm happy to be a part of this great team. Thanks Carrie for the motivation I needed.

I am a former couch potato who had never done anything athletic in my life. I did my first WDW 1/2 in 2004 at the age of 56. Since then I have done the WDW 1/2 in 2005,2006, 2007 and started 2008. I also did the Disney 5K in 2008. In 2007 I did the Country Music Marathon, the Maine Coast 1/2 Marathon and the ToT.

I was sick in January and had to step of the course at mile 4 during the 1/2. I now feel I need to prove something so I am training for the Country Music Marathon in April.

I have two married children and a husband who supports this obsession. My son did the first 1/2 with me and also the second. My husband did the ToT with me and my daughter did the 1/2 in January. I am signed up for the 2009 WDW 1/2 along with my son and DIL.

I may be slow but I Believe!!!!! I am proof that anyone can do this if you put in the time.

I'm off to do my training and I'll report in later.

Thanks for the welcome, it will be so nice to get to know you all better.

This was my first training in 2 months so I feel successful. 2 1/2 miles in 43 minutes. I told you I was slow! LOL
