Hello Warriors!

Sarah - BIG CONGRATULATIONS! Those pictures are great!

Kate - Why is it called Hen? LOL

Racy Tracy - Excellent Video! Makes me miss everyone, I can't wait until January...only 22 weeks left before we see each other again!

Jeff - remember to hydrate! Yikes

Lily - Way to stay with it.

I'm into my third week of training for the Goofy. I posted my training schedule on the google docs, but I think I'm going to adjust it so I'm not running 3 days in a row.

Have a good day! Stay hydrated

Hello Warriors!

Haven't been here to post in a while.:sad2: Too many things going on I guess... But I have kept up with my training! :woohoo: So that's a good thing.

Can't wait to get home and see those wedding pictures...they don't come up here at work.

Later!

Hi Warriors! Hope the weekend is great for everyone.

I got a real stonker of a 10-miler today. Hot and I broke. Needed to crawl the last 1.5 miles. Oh well, I really need to be attentive DL is sooner than I expect.

HI Warriors!!

Thanks Roxy and Ken for checking in and giving me your miles and times. Vey much appreciated.

Erika, hey girl.... I know you said you would post your numbers but I haven't seen them yet. If you want just post them here and I will add them to the spreadsheet.

PT is going well and was told to add a bit of joggin to my walks. just a bit and so far it is going well and not pain. I am doing well also and doing good and on track or even ahead of my Half Marathing training program for the Spacecoast.

Have lots to do for my VACATION which is 4 sleep away. yay!!! I am excited... can you tell??

Have a great day everyone and keep up with your miles, put one foot in front of the other!!

Tracy

16 miles in the heat. Slowed down my pace, hydrated, and took some salt tablets. Finished, but didn't have the chance to dunk in the ocean post run. Had to get home to go to our Girl Scout meeting.

19 days to the DL half. Gonna be good to see the WISH team again!:thumbsup2

8 very warm, hummid, hilly miels in teh books fro Saturday. My legs are not in the shaped I had hoped, but it's still above where I need for the full, so I'll take it.

13 days to CHicago Tri! :scared1:

Hi Warriors:

I'm still pretty low mileage to make up for my break in July, but I did 4 miles on Saturday and 5 long, sweaty, boring miles on the treadmill around midnight last night. Ugh. That is the last time I tell my husband not to let me go to sleep until I get in my miles.... and then spend all day drinking rum out of a coconut on a friend's patio all day!

Tracy,
you can add me to the Goofy 2010 list and also to the Warrior meet.

Hey Warriors!

It's HOT in Seattle this week! I got up early to do 4 miles with Jack the Dog before the heat really set in, and before my appointment with the foot doctor this morning.

The doctor removed 4 mm on one side of my right big toenail, to get rid of my hideous ingrown that has been causing persistent toe infections. If it heals as planned, I should be running again in a week, and in my proper size shoes, instead of my big running shoes that I have to wear for swollen toe days! :lmao: It's still numb right now from the freezing, but I have a feeling that it's really going to hurt in a few hours, so I'm trying to get everything done while I can't feel it!

Stay cool, Warriors!

Sarah i really hope that snipping the toe nail has helped and it's not too sore now! Aww i imagine you running in flippers so your toes don't hurt!

Tracy whoop for your shin! Well done getting some jogging in.

Marcia i have no idea why it's called a hen night- men's night is a stag night tho! Was really great.

lily just remember things can only get better after a stonker and how strong you are to be able to get through that last 1.5miles! You are fab!

I've been away in Portugal with my boyfriend for the week- just back at home today. It was truly a fantastic trip, not a single cloud in the sky and lots of wonderful moments. Looks like we'll be ok to move in together next month, we're still argument free!

It was too hot to run but i did do 2x 80 lengths in the pool (3 miles in total) and popped out for an evil tough 4 miles today in 34mins- my body did not want to run!!!!

It's the wedding on saturday.... aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh

Keep well everyone

Kate: Glad to hear that you had a great trip with the boyfriend! And congrats on the decision to move in together; it's a big step! :goodvibes

And I'm back for the second time this afternoon to.... whine about my toe! Just kidding, actually. I took some Advil when the freezing started to come out and it barely even hurts, now.

My big news is that I just heard back from Girls on the Run of Puget Sound, and that my application has been accepted and I'll be a head coach starting in September! If you haven't heard of Girls on the Run: it's a program for girls in grades 3-5 that uses running (or walking, hopping, skipping, whatever :cool1:) as a way of teaching self esteem, teamwork, and healthy living. I'll be coaching my group twice a week all fall, leading up to a community 5K race in December. I'm so excited and it's going to be so much fun! :yay:

Howdy Warriors!

Training is coming along and the first race of my fall/winter schedule is quickly approaching. Only 17 more days to the DL 1/2! So excited as I actually FEEL ready for this one. Hopefully the rest all fall into place as well.

Hill repeats for me last night. One mile on the trail to the hill, 6 repeats, one mile back to the car.

On the way out to the hill, there was this guy walking towards me. I notice him lift up his shirt and pull a knife!! I'm too close to him to do anything else but keep going. At a pace I'll never be able to match again, I'm sure.;) As soon as I got past him, I thought about the rest of my running group. So I stopped and waited. The next group came through, I told them and we all waited to make sure everyone got past him. Didn't want to cause a scene since we really weren't sure what his problem was or what he was on. Glad that we didn't have an issue with him, but still a scary situation. Stay safe out there Warriors!!

Michelle all i can say is oh my goodness!!! I'm so so happy to hear that you are safe and that you all looked out for each other. I guess next time you're struggling in a race imagine that guy and you'll fly like the wind. It's so scary that you don't know what or who you're going to run in to, but all you can do is be aware. eek.

Just a spin session for me after THE longest day ever at work- almost fell asleep in clinic between patients! oops.

Sarah - you looked so gorgeous!! I love your dress. Congrats!

I must say that running has paid off for me, not in a real race or anything but- last week I went to Steelers Training Camp. In order to stand and wait for the players to come out and give autographs, you must wait in line and then run up a hill to get your spot. Well there were lots of little kids and I figured I could keep up but wasn't sure how well I would do. Soon they told us we could go and amazingly, I beat most of them! haha It was so crazy. Long story short- I'm reaping the benefits! :)

I hope everyone is doing well. School starts next Monday. oh where has the time gone?!

Hi my wonderful Warriors!!!

PT is coming along and they have me on the tread(dread)mill doing some jogging. PT told me I wasn;t reaching out far enough with my stride.
Things are feeling pretty good.
Did 6 miles on Sunday as part of my Half Marathon Training. Going good also.

HOPE everyone's training is going well, keep at it and don't push too much too soon.

Michelle: YIKES!!! wow, that was sure a scary story and good thing you all were looking out for each other!

I am going on vacation tomorrow after work. I will have my laptop with me so I can keep up with everyone. WIll be doing miles also as I don't want to fall behind at all with training.

Take care Warriors!!

Tracy

Spooky Michelle, but I'm sure you had your Pirates of the Carribean sword to duel if necessary. LOL.

Forgot to post 10 miles in the heat last night. 89 at 5 pm, 85 when we finished at dusk.

Michelle - :-o So glad all were safe!

bella - Yay for feeling teh effects of trianing!

Sarag - Huge congrats on GotR!!!! They have that program here. Very cool! Hope your toe heals quickly!

Tracy - Glad pT is giong well!

Jeff - Congrats on the 20!

Kate - Glad you had a great trip! Congrats on teh future living arrangements!

I only had time for 23 min of wii fit yoga. Felt good, though, adn my foot adn akle are doing much better. Biking Thursday should be fine. Yay!!!

Hey Warriors-

Just popping in really quickly. I went to my first ever spin class today. So that kind of hurt...;) Now that I'm done, I can say it was pretty fun.

I swam last night. I made a bit of a breakthrough- I did an entire half mile all free style without stopping! Not fast, not pretty, but I got there.

That's a good thing, because I signed up for a sprint tri for Labor Day weekend at Disney (I've tormented the tri board over and over so I'll spare you the details). In just a few weeks of cross training, I feel much stronger. I might even do the FIRST program for my winter races- now that I'm in the groove of cross-training, I may see what that does for my running. You all will have to remind me of that when I'm in the post-race funk.:rolleyes1

Jen in GA

Jen - Huge congrts on the swim. Hoping ot do tha tmyself someday. :rolleyes1

Did 23 min of yoga last night. Wii fit takes so long, but works so well. No idea what I'll do otnight. Maybe the pol if the rain ocntinues.
