So I guess I'm a little confused here. I had heard this was the best restaurant in DLP but upon reading reviews, even though it appears to be the best, the reviews seem more mixed than I would have expected.

Went here 4 years ago, had the burger, and I thought it was very good, so I'm a bit surprised.

Any thoughts here?

Actually inside the park, yes, I would say Walt's probably has the best food. However, I would rate California Grill as 'the best' (in terms of interesting, fine dining food), which can be found inside the Disneyland Hotel - but the prices are significantly higher than Walt's!

Unfortunately, I'd rate the general food quality across DLP to be fairly low (nothing like the U.S. parks). Many restaurants have not changed their menu in a couple of years and serve the same, from-frozen food, no matter where you go.

I've never eaten at Walts, but you're right, it has had increasingly mixed reviews over the last few years.

The burger contains foie gras which is also off putting for some people.

Although we haven't been to DLP for 5 years, Walt's was always our favourite restaurant.

Guess it's like everywhere - there's always going to be good and bad reviews.

We've just been for Halloween because my friend and I really liked the Halloween menu.

I hadn't been in several years because last time we went the Service had been so incredibly bad. She had been with her mom for runDisney and was raving about Food and Service, so I decided okay, let's give it a second Chance.

Let's put it this way: they won't be getting a third Chance.

We really liked the Halloween menu, don't get me wrong. Food Quality there was pretty good for Paris Standard. I admit, I probably would have liked it better though if the Food hadn't arrived luke warm because it obviously had been sitting under a heat lamp forever. Our Server disappeared for Long periods of time, never checked on us either. All she did was dropping off plates. I really wanted to send my entree back, but by the Point the luke warm dish had arrived I really was starving, so I gave up after waiting some more and ate it in the end.

The cherry on top was when I requested a Substitute from a menu item for allergy reasons. I did react very violently to the salad Dressing there last time. The other dish was seafood which is totally out due to allergies. So I requested a Substitute. Her solution was that she insisted they could serve the Dressing on the side. I am really not sure what good that would have done for allergies unless she expected me to turn into a bunny and munch on dry salad leaves. :P In the end after we thought we had convinced her that this wasn't really an appropriate solution she sent over another guy to again check on this if I really couldn't have the salad.
