Hi I have just found the waltdisneyworld travel co is on a list of companies on a cashback site I use, not sure If I can mention the name of it but if anyone wants the info then pm me as the cashback is upto 1.5%. Sorry if this has been posted before.

Im sorry...Im stoopid !!

Can you explain this Quidco to me ? :flower3:

A good place to start is Martins site http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cashback-websites

Just about anything you buy on the internet can be bought via a cashback website, the cashback site gets paid commission for directing the business to them, these cashcack sites then give you a cut of the commission. you can even earn without spending like doing a Gocompare Car Insurance search, I got £1.50 for doing that recently.

Just a few examples of my cashback in past few months
1st colomn is company I bought from, 2nd how much I spent with them 3rd cashback amount (1 point = 1p)
4th date of transaction.
As you can see with my car insurance £70 cashback on a £213 policy is a high %.

Aviva Motor Insurance £213.00 7000 points 17 Oct 09
Simply Business £236.08 2400 points 13 Dec 09
netflights £1274.01 1274 points 09 Dec 09
Walt Disney Travel... £2747.00 12362 points 03 Jan 10

4 transactions, £230.36 cashback.
Been doing it for 5 years now, claimed £1,932 :thumbsup2

I just started Quidco a few months ago, and while not on the scale of Wayne's earnings unfortunately, between Christmas and so on I've "made" about £25. Although the payments for these I'm still awaiting. I've got a bit addicted and keep looking to buy things via Quidco just for cashback, lol. For example, we took out our travel insurance with the AA recently, £55 for 2 of us, 17% cashback means we're getting £9.27 back hopefully!

Where you been for the last 2 months Cheryl? :rotfl2:

Yes its been posted a few times but maybe someone is reading that doesn't know.

Quidco is paying most I think at upto 4.5%
I am waiting for £123 cashback:thumbsup2

Bit gutted I didn't know about it before spending £1200 on WDW website!!

But from now on, renewing insurance and everything will be done on there and am trying to teach the BF so he can change his gas/eleccy and get cash back! Free money woo hoo!!:rotfl:

Yes, then after about 2 months the money will be available to take back. Not a quick process but it works.

That's pretty much it. One thing that is recommended is to clear out your cookies and restart your browser before logging into Quidco then clicking through to the merchant (i.e. Disney). Sometimes if you have been on there lots trying out things without actually doing a transaction, or with repeat transactions, it can cause the tracking to fail. I use a Firefox browser dedicated to just Quidco which I clear out each time.

The Disney Quidco rate has now gone down to 3% from 4.5%.
Still, not to be sneezed at though!

Just got my £123.62 cashback today:goodvibes

We booked 24 Jan at 4.5% cashback of £128.12, just checked & it's know £85.41, so it's been reduced to 3%. Surely it's given from when it's booked?
Do you know how I can query this? I know it's money that I would'nt have had but it's still annoying.

Is it Quidco? If so create a new earnings inquiry stating incorrect amount.

Hi there, just spotted this thread on Quidco cashback on Disney holidays and just thought i would warn you guys, I have just been booking our trip to Disney, thru the Disney website, 3 rooms at the Beach club so understandably I was trying to get as good a deal as possible, I priced it up with everyone, and found the Disney website to be cheapest on our dates, so then I tried it through Quidco to get the cashback discount (which was 3.5% I think) and when I went through it to the Disney site the holiday price had gone up which wiped out any cashback!!!

The holiday worked out a few pounds MORE expensive through Quidco than just through Disney. So they obviously put the price up to allow them to give "Cashback"
I was SO ANNOYED!

Sorry to burst the bubble guys but I know how these holidays to Disney can add up and wanted to warn you before you get done over.

Hope you all find a good deal in the end and enjoy your trips! :)

Lauren

Hi Lauren, welcome to DISboards.
Are you sure you priced up exactly the same both ways? It should not give you a different price.
Just checked our holiday for August, direct with Disney Total Price £2,892.00 or via Quidco Total Price £2,892.00, exactly the same price.:confused3
