Walt must be rolling in his grave!!

We didn't do Stitch so I can't compare, but I have to say the worst ride I've ever been on anywhere is Malestrom in Norway at Epcot. That ride REALLY needs a refurbish!

I love this thread. I'll be trying Stitch out in a few weeks.

But please don't mess with Malestrom! It's one of my favs! (It really is, but its ok that you don't like it, hehe)

We made a special trip over to MK to see Stitch on our one day at WDW in December after our cruise. Was it worth it? I think so. I didn't care for Alien at all and thought this was cute. Is it the best ever? No Is it really going to have Walt rolling is his grave? No I think that happened when they redesigned the Tiki Room!

Haven't done "Stitch" but really loved Alien Encounter. And to Soccercruiser87, I LOVE your pic! I CAN'T get enough of Capt.Jack Sparrow!! ;)

Well, I always thought alien encounter was completed overrated and couldn't understand how anybody over the age of 9 found it remotely frightening, so if they have made it less intense, I can see no reason to waste the time standing on line.

My DD (8) loved Stitch. I found it amusing. I love WDW because it provides something for everyone!

I agree! My son 8 also loved Stitch-did it 3 times. DH and i thought it was cute. Not all new attractions have to be Mission Space or the be all end all of technology. Some can just be cute. If you are a Stitch fan and know about the character then I think it makes sense. In the end they let the recruits go because "there is nothing more they can do".

My kids are looking forward to Stitch as a new ride. We also never rode Winnie the Pooh - don't know why - so those are our "must dos" this time.

I love the character and wish he could have been given a brand new ride, not a redo of one that was marginal, at best.

I didn't even know that Alien Encounter was no longer in existence and that Stitch had taken its place until I got inside and realized the set was almost exactly the same. I was majorly disappointed. Alien Encounter didn't scare the wits out of me, but I definitely had my pulse quicken. I was really looking forward to experiencing it again.

Stitch was just bad. Sitting immobile while nasty-smelling air was blown at me made me want to get rid of my breakfast faster than Mission Space. Not my idea of fun, but then again, I'm not an 8-year-old kid. There was one little boy about five years old sitting next to my sister who cried and screamed through the whole thing. So it sounds like it either bores you to death or scares you to death depending on your age. I'll definitely not waste my time on it ever again.

Walt has already spun enough to wear a groove. Just look at the Pooh ride. My gosh - I've seen better work at the elementary school carnival!

Tip: When you sit in your seat, while the harness comes down, raise your shoulders a bit so that the harness will stop a little higher up. You'll be happy you did...

My 5 and 8yr old dd HATED this ride!!! They were sooo excited about this ride and it was the first ride they wanted to do at the MK. I had heard it was lousy but I didn't tell them.

Guess I didn't have to.

The worst atraction in WDW: Stitch´s Scape

The second worst: Alien Encounter

Please, bring Mission to Mars back!!!

I agree. Everyone in my family was mystified by this ride. If WDW can't afford better props/set decoration, then they shouldn't put the ride in at all. I expected to see a random man in the corner shouting, "do not pay any attention to the man behind the curtain," while pulling levers and moving those chintzy cardboard doors!

I totally and completely agree - what a joke. I was actually embarrassed to be watching it.

My DD's (11) absolute favorite ride is SE. DS's (9) favorite is Tower of Terror. DS's (7) favorite is ride is the sky cabs that go around future world in MK. Thank goodness for the diviersity of WDW. :earboy2:

Confused :confused3

Stich was absolutely awful. You spend over half the time sitting in the dark twiddling your fingers. I thought nothing could be worse than the drew carrey 'show' in mgm but I was wrong. btw, I love his show on tv but man the mgm show blew.
