Walt Disney's last recording

Thanks for the link. And thanks again, because now I have to go fix my mascara.

Since I always end up teary eyed during One Man's Dream I think I will wait until I am at home before I listen to this. Thanks for sharing the link.

When I see those old videos of Walt, I tear up, too. There is such a poignancy to those old film clips. Walt truly is the human face of something that seems so huge and corporate sometimes. Walt conveyed such optimism and genuineness. In addition, seeing and hearing Walt takes me back to my childhood in the 60s, when my family used to gather around the TV set on Sunday evenings after dinner. Most of those people, like Walt, are gone now, but the memory of those happy times remains.

Put the DISNEY in that subject line after the word Walt! :rotfl2:

I thought you meant WALTER! :lmao:

I was afraid something bad had happened to Walter.:scared1:

Later,
Dan

Thanks Kathy,
I had the privilege of seeing this several hundred Disney fans at the Destination D event. With the elaborate story leading up to the clip and we also get the see the movie clip that was edited out of this version, there was not a dry eye in the room. It was all started by one man. I assume they will run this in its entirety during the Destination D event in Florida also.
Don

Well, that clip certainly did not make me tear up. Not sure why it would. :confused3

But it did bring back good memories of going to the movies with my family.
I remember seeing both Happiest Millionaire and Follow Me Boys. I have been wanting to watch Follow Me Boys again. I remember a scene where Fred McMurray had to prove he was a Boy Scout by showing that he could tie a certain kind of knot.

Thanks so much for sharing. I can't get enough clips of Walt. He was such an amazing man.

Thanks so much for sharing that Kathy. I just love seeing Walt & it's hard to believe that was just a couple of months before he died.

Thanks Kathy ! I watched it with my 5 year old and she was so happy. Not to mention The hosts have great on screen personalities.

I loved the up-and-coming actor to watch part - Kurt Russell!

I had no idea he was a child actor. Well, Walt was right.
