Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

Does the Swan/Dolphin still give a voucher for breakfast to platinum marriott members? Last time we were there, Feb 2020, we were able to eat at the Garden grove buffet for an upcharge of $8 each with that voucher.
Yes it will cover 20 dollars (actually 17 if the staff person remembers to charge you a 3 dollar service/tip charge which is completely wrong IMO) at Fuel etc. or you could use it at the Garden Grove Buffet for the continental style items. That upcharge for hot foods is still in place.

Last week they also offered me the option of points or a gift basket with some type of alcohol and a cookies/wafers.

Your choice of points or vouchers. So far, the buffets haven’t been open, so I gave up on vouchers. The lines for Garden Grove have been incredibly long and the breakfast offerings have been pretty lame (I particularly recommend staying away from the vegan sausage - it tastes much worse than it looks. And it looks BAD.) I just hit one of the Starbucks in the parks when I get there. Btw, if you have a family, I think you only get two vouchers so there’s that.

How many points are they offering ?

I did a quick search and couldn’t find a succinct resource about the deluxe magic hours, so I’ll ask here...
We are staying at the Swan Reserve in November. I’m hoping that there will be extended hours offered then.
Do you have to have a park reservation for the day that you go to the extended hours?
For instance, if I choose Hollywood Studios as my park for November 9th, and then they announce that MK has extended hours that day, can I park hop into MK for the extended hours? Or would I have to have a park reservation for MK to take advantage of the extended hours?

On Disney’s site it says, yes, you can park hop as in your above scenario:

”Or, Guests may visit with a ticket or annual pass with the Park Hopper option as long as they entered their first park where they made their reservation earlier in the day.”

Great question. I would love to know for December. I'm hoping they will have extended evening hours but maybe they wont with the Christmas evenings.

In my head, I interpreted this as meaning that if you start the day at DHS, you can go to MK for the extended hours if you have a ticket with the park hopper option or if you have an annual pass (which by definition includes the park hopper option). I thought that if you had a ticket without the park hopper option, and you started the day at DHS, you would not be able to go to MK for the extended hours.

I see now that the placement of the words "the Park Hopper option" might mean that I was wrong.

How are other people interpreting this?

Any tips on attending the Food and Wine Classic at the Swalphin? I will be attending this year for the first time and I am really looking forward to it!

For anyone that has a trip coming up, be sure and double check your rates! With so many folks cancelling trips, I thought I'd double check my rates - and I'm glad I did! I saved $120 for my 5 night stay later this month - it dropped my average per night from $194.20 to $176.00

Note: Be sure and View/Modify rather than do a new reservation :D

I'm glad that i saw your post. My rate went down as well. The website wouldn't let me modify the rate without cancelling and putting in for a new reservation which I did not want to do. I am on the phone with Marriott now. What a mess. She cannot refund the difference in deposit but "thinks" it will be applied to my bill. I cannot get email confirmation of the lower rate change. I'm not having a good feeling about this transaction, especially when she just asked me for my credit card to "charge the new deposit." I said that it didn't make sense as Marriott has already debited my account for now what amounts to an overpayment. I'm on hold again. I will pour myself a glass of wine... to be continued

I ended up having to use an "incognito" (aka private) browser window to make the change. Maybe try that?

So I have just changed over to red wine from white. I can't wait for the white to chill and need my second glass stat!

After getting help from the supervisor multiple times, I now am so incredibly not lucky to be the recipient of two reservations for the exact same dates but with different confirmation numbers. Two deposits have been taken from my Visa. I may need to switch over to Mai Tais.

Did you call the Marriott reservations line or in-house reservations for Swan/Dolphin/Reserve? The in-house CSRs are normally very helpful; they usually answer during normal daytime business hours. At other times, or when their lines are overloaded, the calls roll over to Marriott.

In-house reservations: (888) 828-8850
