Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

Hey Dan (or anyone else), Do you know what the Costco Travel room upgrade is? Is it standard room to resort view room or what?

When I called to ask about them, the woman I spoke with sounded like they were new. They have a fridge and safe, HDTV, 'lemon-infused water', wait service, two float rentals, and (she said) a couch and two loungers, but from the photo you posted I don't see any loungers.

They are $100 for a half day and $150 for a full day, and $50 more on the weekend.
Half days are either 9-1 or 2-7 and full days are 9-6.
We just got home from the Swan. A family that had a cabana asked if I was using the two lounge chairs beside me at the pool and I said no. They carried them into their cabana.

Can anyone give me the current info on grocery delivery at the Dolphin? I have read some posts that say if we meet them in the parking lot there is no issue, but then I thought that I read that grocery delivery services will not deliver to Dolphin. I am arriving later in the evening (probably by 9-10 pm) by Uber and making a grocery stop on my way back from the airport doesn't sound appealing. Any recommendations on what would be the easiest way to get groceries?

I have a question about swan paddle boat rental that the resort fee gives you- how long do you get as part of resort fee and how many people fit on a swan?
They didn't seem to care how long we were out for in December.....could fit 4 or 5 if some are small kids.... very relaxing!

Assuming you only need a few things in a hotel room, you could pack dry goods (cereal) in luggage, then buy some items at the Screen Door General Store at the Boardwalk or at the resort itself?

Also, you can use Amazon Prime Pantry: https://www.swandolphin.com/activities/business.html unless this is no longer the case.

When my kids were little (and one had severe food allergies), I used to bring safe foods and a hot pot, and do a grocery stop for nondairy milk and a few things. I could make noodles and some breakfast things for him, and then he LOVED when I'd do carry out from Kimono's (he was born in Hawaii, and loves sushi since he was a baby, thankfully can eat rice and fish).

Not sure if they still do the "personal pantry" thing for stocking your fridge with snacks.

Prime Pantry, which ships and takes days to arrive? Or Prime Now, which delivers same day or next day?

I seem to recall hearing that Garden Grocer, which delivers to Bell Services, won't deliver to Dolphin. So I, too, am wondering whether any of the delivery services (Prime Now, Garden Grocer, Instacart, Safeway) will deliver to Swan or Dolphin. I will need grocery items which are not sold in grocery section of Boardwalk gift shop and cannot be shipped or put in suitcase.

I am in the same boat. Garden Grocer will not deliver to either Swan or Dolphin. I wanted to try Instacart, but I asked on here a few times and didn’t get a response as of yet. I’m hoping that it’s doable at these resorts. I wouldn’t even mind paying a fee to bell services.

Have you looked into Safeway? They will meet you at Bell Services (I used them at the Boardwalk last month). Not sure if they're also banned though, as GG is.

Uber is cheap if you want to shop yourself.

If what you want is basic items, such as beer, milk, snacks and packaged baked goods, the cheapest way to get them is to walk to the Speedway gas station and call Uber for a ride back.

Is there any size difference of the fridge in a deluxe Alcove vs a regular double room?

No size difference. It's the same mini fridge. When you get to suites, it's still a mini fridge for executive and grand suites, although there is one in the attached bedroom(s) as well as another one in the parlor. The Presidential suite has a full sized fridge in the kitchen area.

I didn’t realize Safeway was an option. I will give them a shot as I do not want to shop myself. (I hate grocery shopping and want to avoid it on vacation lol.)
