Anyone have any info/updates on the status of the renovations at the Dolphin? We are considering a stay in November, but will book the Swan if renovations are still underway at the Dolphin.

Thank you for any help.

I called the Dolphin and they said they expect renovations to be complete by October. She suggested booking the Swan if it is important to you to either be in a renovated room, or you don't want to be possibly inconvenienced with renovation work or both.

Thank you!

Does anyone know which area/floor/category they started working on first?

I would rather book the Dolphin, so I think that I will risk it and request a newly renovated room.

In my experience at both Swan and Dolphin, the answer would be a firm no.

I second your "firm no", Tess! ;)

It seems about the time they started charging the mandatory resort fee (which includes internet), it got worse! :upsidedow

Agreed! We have actually had success getting the resort fee removed due to the poor service. One year it was imperative that we have a good connection for work purposes and despite the IT dept help--the in room WiFi would not provide a strong enough signal for a laptop. The business center wasn't even offered as a "free" option despite our request. A stronger signal was located near the lobby and business concluded, but it created a bit of drama. I will oftentimes turn WiFi off on the cell phone because it just isn't worth the hassle and battery drain. That applies to the parks as well. ;)

just bring your firetv...that's what we did...
but fireTV needs internet to stream right?

dot he rooms have a DVD player?
I will be at a conference and grandma will appreciate being able to show some movies to my 5yo

Just wanted to let everyone know that apparently ADRs ARE 180+10! I found that out the hard way this morning - I didn't check until 45 min after rez opened because I didn't want anything 180 days from TODAY... well lo & behold, I was able to search my whole trip, but 45 minutes late & **NOTHING** is available for parties of 5 during my trip. Darn Free Dining. I'm going to keep checking and hope I can snag some when people make changes!

I tried to make my reservations using the 180 +10, and wasn't able to. We're staying at the Swan in December. I called Disney dining, and was told by the CM that the Dolphin and Swan do not participate in the 180 +10 days for dining. You can for the 180 days, but not for the plus 10.

So odd. I think it's worth a try since it did work for me, but I guess you shouldn't count on it. :-/

I'm sure this has been answered here somewhere, so sorry to ask again. Do we have the options of refillable mugs at the Swan?
