Most still had their conference badges on, so most likely looking for a bar. Many spots in the Swolphin were rented out privately by companies, including BlueZoo. And trust me, these people at this conference don't have the Disney knowledge this board does to know about JR closing. I was at the conference in June that rented out Hollywood Studios w/ Maroon 5 playing, the comments in the lines would have had a lot cracking up, like people on the ride for ROTR looking at Kylo Ren and asking why Darth Vader got a new mask.

Oh my, booking out the restaurants would drive the business to BW. Conventions need bars... They had a large convention when I was there is Sept and Dolphin even set up an extra bar in their Lobby to supplement the normal one. Both were slammed when the convention let out for the evening, I thought it was genius. Easily could have used a second temporary bar

Yes all of the articles have various errors. The Meeting Space expansion at the Dolphin is not really scheduled to be complete until late 2026. Getting the Dolphin room remodel may or may not be done by Summer 2025.

It really was a hot mess of information, I assume it all came from the same press release, but they weren't all the same at all.

They already assigned our room for Sunday. Central, ending in odd number. We did get a king with a sofa bed, just wondering if location is decent.

Jelly Rolls is closing, suspect that was more the interest than conventioneers looking for a bar.

I don’t expect the conference expansion to have much of an effect on the amount of people looking for things to do in the BW area. The hotel is not expanding, just the facilities.

Yeah I've noticed more and more they have to setup temp facilities to handle some of the events or even night time entertainment.... if they can setup permanent facilities that would handle those needs... it might be preferred by those booking the events.

Being in the central tower, you should be close to the elevators. Those Dolphin hallways can get really long.

Fwiw- the room will feel disappointing but the various dining options right there will feel amazing. You’ll still have a great trip!

I do love all the dining options. Flying Fish and Kimonos are regular stops for us.

And the walk to HS and Epcot is shorter than SR. Looking for all the little things.

Dolphin is perfectly fine - though I am surprised they are renovating the Swan rooms, but not the dolphin.

I always feel in both of the original buildings they have some work that needs to be done on the dehumidifier system... Hopefully that is being addressed as well and tearing up the carpet will likely help some too.

Surprisingly, no disappointment here. No doubt the room is just your standard room, nothing to gush about. But it’s clean and access is to everything can’t be beat! No complaints.

Had dinner at Kimonos. Pleasant experience as always. Never left disappointed, food and service always top notch! A quiet (before karaoke ) little gem that’s a staple of every WDW trip.

Do they sell dishes individually or just under the all-included package?

Anyone done one of the seminars? I’m intrigued by the Spanish wine one but $85 for one hour with no clue what it will entail is a bit high of a gamble for me.
