Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

Looking to stay at the Swan in May 2022 (canceling my May 2021 trip soon). With the close access to Epcot and DHS, I'm thinking a rental car is less necessary and I'd like to avoid the parking fees. We will need a car on both weekends of our trip since we plan to go to church and universal as well as resort hopping and Disney Springs. For anyone who has rented a car using the Swan/Dolphin rental counter, is it possible to do a one way rental from MCO and return to the Swan the first weekend and then do a one-way from Swan to MCO the next weekend? I'm guessing it is (and hopeful that the rental counter will reopen by the time we go next year). Since the Swan/Dolphin rental is closed right now I can't check it out myself on the National website.

@mickey916 that shouldn't be a problem just book two different reservations. We picked up at the Dolphin a couple years ago whole process was a breeze. I can't see why having 2 different reservations like you describe would be a problem at all. Hopefully by 2022 the rental counter reopens.

The window to make my ADRs is coming up in a couple of weeks. Are Swan guests able to make all of their reservations once the 60 day window opens or do we need to make them one day at a time. I know this has been answered but I couldn't find it on my search. Thank you!!

Yes in the past you could drop your car at the Dolphin and also pickup a new reservation at the rental counter.

The rental counter may reopen by May 2022 at the Dolphin in the mean time the Car Care center near the MK main parking lot should still able to help you. They offer a shuttle service from 7 AM - 7 PM currently from or to WDW resorts or Theme parks and DS, ESPN WWoS.

Guests renting a car through Enterprise, Alamo or National must schedule at least one hour prior to pick up time and be waiting at the pickup location at the appointed time.

Thank you Dave for all that info! Very helpful!

Our ADR window isn't until March, so I can't say for certain, but in the past, Swalphin guests always got the 180 days+(length of stay up to 10 days) benefit, so I would assume that still applies now that the ADR window is 60 days.

Strange question regarding the Fitness Center. Online it says they have Peloton bikes. Does anyone know more about this? Are there multiple bikes, do you need to reserve a time, and do they have the clip in pedals?

I know that in one of our vacations from the past few years my wife brought her peleton shoes and used the bikes at the gym. It definitely has the clip in pedals and you needed a peleton account to be able to use it. I think it was at the Dolphin, but i can't remember for certain. I will ask her when she wraps up her meeting later and report back.

Confirmed it was the Dolphin in May 2019.

Hey everyone - This thread has been very helpful as we plan our first stay at S&D. I saw on some earlier posts when calling to make sure to ask for "in-house reservations". I called the 407 number but didn't ask for in-house. Does this mean I was put through to the main call center? I called today during normal business hours. I was searching AP discounted rooms + the stay connected option all day then tonight I switched to AAA and saw a couple Premium rooms pop up for a much cheaper price! We much prefer separate sleeping spaces from our toddlers so this option would be perfect for us. Best part is it's only $8 more per night (and cheaper than 2 rooms) than AOA Suites which is what we've been doing all of our price comparing to. Caveat: Non-refundable 😬 I feel okay with that, but also you never know!

Another question I had for anyone who has split-stayed recently: Is bell services still offering bag transfer to Disney resorts? The person I spoke to didn't know and said to plan on it not being offered anymore. I guess worse case one of us Ubers to the new resort with all of our luggage.

To my knowledge and unless things have recently changed, they are currently not doing bag transfer to/from S/D and Disney resorts. Disney will transfer bags between Disney-owned resorts, just not S/D.

In November they weren't. My cousin and I were at the Boardwalk our first night and just rolled our luggage over to the Dolphin. When my husband came and we switched to Poly, I asked about bag transfer and they said not currently. I just took an Uber over for around $12, not bad.

probably what we will do, too. Thanks for the info!

Can anyone tell me if the "Fountain" at the dolphin is open and what the hours are? The Disney website seems to indicate that it is open but I thought I read somewhere that it has been temprarily closed.

When we were there in January, it was only open Fridays and Saturdays.

As @GreyStr0ke and @helenb indicate already the Fountain is open but with restrictions. It is only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 12 PM - 11 PM at this time.

Note: as always the days and hours of operation are subject to change.

The website has a bunch of out of date info, I'm not sure why they don't remove things. But for the time being they keep the Swan Dolphin App updated and it's a great resource when planning on on site. It shows the hours (as noted above) as well as the Dining Menu and Ice Cream menu too.
