Walt Disney World Railroad Travel Times

Hello!

How long does it take to travel between the three railroad stations at Disney World?

From Fantasyland to Frontierland?
From Frontierland to Fantasyland?

You know...I've never actually timed it. The trip itself between each stop may be something like 4-6 minutes or less, it's pretty short. The longest part is stopping at the station to load and unload guests. On a summer day, it can get powerful warm just sitting on that train in the sun.

I think the entire route is about 20 minutes.

There is another stop at Main Street when you're traveling from Fantasyland to Frontierland... I agree with the previous reply about the 20 minute total. I think I read somewhere (guidebook, I think) that each leg was about 7 minutes.
I also agree that you usually spend more time waiting for the train to load and unload. So maybe that 7 minutes included boarding time?

Sometimes it does have issues and takes longer than expected.

I've gotten "stuck" on it a few times as the steam needs to build up again. Always a nice time onboard, but just wanted you to be aware that it's an attraction that can still be delayed or you can be stuck on for longer than planned.

It also needs to pause in between Main St and Frontierland near Parade time to let the floats and cast come onstage, and they have to cross the tracks then.
